Paramount has officially renewed its hit series Tulsa King for season 4 following the record-breaking success of season 2. The announcement was made just days before Sunday’s premiere of season 3.

A Success So Far

The decision to continue the series comes as no surprise after the immense success of the crime-drama series’ second season. Its premier episode drew in 2 million global views on its first day.

Later, the show would garner 21.1 million views globally, making Tulsa King the most watched series on Paramount+ in 2024.

The show even earned itself a top 10 slot in the year’s fourth quarter.

With this record viewership, Tulsa King also received plenty of positive reviews from fans. The series earned an 83% positive audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and a rating of 7.9/10 on IMDB.

Tulsa King Renewed for Season 4

Dave Erickson — the showrunner for season 3 — will not return for Tulsa King season 4. Instead, he will be replaced by veteran writer and producer Terence Winter.

Along with Tulsa King being renewed, show creator Taylor Sheridan will be working on a spinoff series titled NOLA King, starring Samuel L. Jackson. His character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., will be introduced as an antagonist in Tulsa King season 3.

We don’t yet know the release date of the crime-drama series’ fourth season, but it’s likely to maintain the show’s current format, releasing in the fall of 2026.

It’s notable, though, that the announcement of Tulsa King season 4 happened before the release of the third season’s debut episode. This hasty decision might serve as an answer to the concerns of dedicated fans who remember the frustrating two-year gap between seasons 1 and 2.

Paramount Teases Season 3

We have a brief description of season 3, teasing what’s to come.

“Dwight’s (Stallone) empire expands, so do his enemies — and the risks to his crew. Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family.”

Robert Patrick, who played T-1000 in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, will be playing the season’s chief protagonist, Jeremiah Dunmire. Paramount describes the character as a “powerful man with deep pockets who works in the liquor business.”

The first three episodes will be titled “Blood and Bourbon,” “The Fifty,” and “The G and the OG,” respectively, according to Rotten Tomatoes.

They are perfectly able to see WHAT content brings views and money. But it shows how fanatical these people are in their believes and persuasions because they keep creating content that not only does not bring money–it turns people away, many of whom never come back.
