TMZ reports Jennifer Cody, who voiced Charlotte La Bouff in the 2009 film was happy that The Walt Disney World tore down Splash Mountain and was replacing it with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
TMZ states, “She’s applauding Disney for finally deciding to keep up with the times and replacing Splash Mountain’s animatronics due to its racist themes.”
On top of this the outlet adds, “Jennifer tells us it was about time the hateful and hurtful ride was taken down.”

Reacting to this report, Jonas J. Campbell of That Park Place’s YouTube channel asserted, “I would defy you to find a single racist animatronic in Splash Mountain or a single racist theme in Splash Mountain.
Vash Sky, a guest on the channel added, “This was a ride that was methodically gone through by the NAACP. So that’s kind of weird how there this revisionist history going around. ”
WDW Pro also added his thoughts, “This ride is so anti-problematic that it was the most popular attraction in the world, according to polling. That’s at any theme park ever. And it still exists in Japan where, apparently, it is still not problematic.”
“It also needs to be said that for decades both in Anaheim and in Orlando families of every ethnicity, background, color, creed, you name it, got on those log flumes and went through the Laughing Place and they were happy. They were joyous. They had their pictures taken. They celebrated this ride. There were no protests. There were no folks frowning when they got off this, yet we are being told to accept the revisionist history so that we can all choke down what is going to be a massive downgrade,” he said.
