Rippaverse Publishing, founded by Eric D. July, is officially back in action. Following the success of Alphacore #1, the independent publisher has announced pre-orders for Alphacore #2 — the next installment in the gritty, character-driven superhero police series that blends traditional heroics with modern law-and-order storytelling.

Written by legendary comics veteran Chuck Dixon, penciled by Joe Bennett, inked by Fabio Jansen, and colored by J. Brown, this all-star creative team continues to deliver exactly what fans have come to expect from the Rippaverse: bold stories that reject corporate mandates and focus squarely on heroes, morals, and action.

The Story So Far: Alphacore #1

Set in the dazzling but dangerous city of Florespark, Alphacore follows Bryan Solari, a decorated military veteran and police officer who’s spent his life serving on the frontlines—first in combat, then in law enforcement. When a new wave of superpowered crimes grips the city, Solari assembles an elite squad to restore order: the no-nonsense Braxwell and the resolute Ingrid Valdez. Together, they form the Alphacore, a unit forged to stop the unstoppable.

But Florespark is a city where the line between law and justice blurs easily. Their greatest threat isn’t always the criminals they hunt—it’s the corruption that seeps through every layer of power. As chaos spreads, the team’s biggest challenge may be learning to trust each other before the city burns.

The New Chapter: Alphacore #2

In Alphacore #2, the battle for Florespark intensifies. The dust from their last mission has barely settled, and the fallout has put the team under fire from every direction. Politicians, journalists, and even their own department are questioning their actions—and their integrity.

Cut off from official support and forced into the shadows, Solari and his team must choose what kind of heroes they want to be. When a new Except—a dangerous, powered criminal—emerges, the Alphacore find themselves facing not just villains, but the corrupt system that enabled them. The stakes are higher than ever, and the moral ground has never been murkier.

It’s a story about loyalty, justice, and what happens when the very institutions meant to uphold order turn against their own defenders.

Where to Get It

Alphacore #2 is available exclusively at Rippaverse.com, continuing the company’s commitment to direct-to-consumer distribution without corporate middlemen or retail gatekeeping.

Pre-orders open on October 9, 2025 and close on November 28, 2025 Estimated fulfillment is Q1 2026.

A New Chapter

Since debuting on November 6, 2023, Alphacore has become a cornerstone of the growing Rippaverse Universe, standing alongside titles like Isom and Yaira as fan-favorite examples of creator-driven storytelling done right.

The series has been praised for merging the high-stakes drama of superhero comics with the procedural intensity of classic police thrillers—a refreshing change from the corporate sameness that dominates much of modern mainstream comics.

With Alphacore #2, Eric July and his team continue to build a universe grounded in conviction, creativity, and independence—offering fans what big publishers have long abandoned: powerful heroes, moral complexity, and unapologetically bold storytelling.

Looking forward to it. I really like the idea of a super-powered police force and the dynamics around it. The first issue is one of the best books in the Rippaverse, so I have high expectations for this one. Hopefully Brian Solari will have his moments to shine. Dude desperately needs a win – for the Superman of the universe, he’s been the most unlucky hero ever.
