Is it a rumor when the actor confirms it?
Some people are guessing that a rumor about Ian McDiarmid could refer to Kenobi or to Andor. While those are both possible shows that this rumor is referring to, it’s also possible that it’s referring to a Darth Vader show that may be in the works at Lucasfilm.
But what is this rumor we’re talking about?…
According to Louis Chilton of Yahoo! News:
McDiarmid recently made an appearance at the Imperial Commissary Collectors Convention (ICCC) where he discussed the possibility of returning to the franchise in future.
“There’s a certain show coming soon set right around the time I may have considered to be very active,” he said, per Star Wars News Net.
“Whether or not you will see my physical body, I cannot comment on. But you will certainly feel my presence.”
That definitely feels like a voice over cameo confirmation straight from the actor who plays Emperor Palpatine. It’s interesting that this comes out in the last twenty-four hours. As if Star Wars doesn’t have enough news for the month of May.
