Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock says she believes alien spacecraft are flying through our skies—and claims she has personally witnessed them.
The Practical Magic 2 star shared her unusual encounter during an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, revealing that she once watched several mysterious lights converge in the night sky before suddenly disappearing.

“There are alien ships flying around the sky,” Bullock declared. “I have seen them, and I’m so happy that the government has finally corroborated my story so I no longer feel like an insane person.”
Bullock said the encounter happened decades ago while she was filming in Saint Martin. Although she did not identify the movie, Speed 2: Cruise Control, released in 1997, was partially filmed on the Caribbean island.
Sandra Bullock Recalls Mysterious Lights in the Sky
According to Bullock, she and several others from the production went to the beach after filming wrapped for the day. She acknowledged that the group had enjoyed a couple of beers before lying on the sand and staring into the sky.
That was when she noticed what initially appeared to be an ordinary satellite.
“I see this little point of light,” Bullock recalled, explaining that it appeared to be moving across the sky.

However, another light soon approached from a different direction and appeared to meet the first. Bullock initially assumed she was simply looking at two satellites.
Then more appeared.
“There was five altogether,” she said. “And they all sort of came together.”
The Lights Suddenly Disappeared
Bullock considered several explanations for what she was witnessing, including the possibility that the lights were satellites or airplanes. She also admitted that she had “a bit of a buzz going.”
But what happened next convinced her that she had witnessed something far more unusual.

“All of a sudden they just, poof, took off like that,” Bullock said.
The actress immediately looked around to determine whether anyone else had witnessed the strange display. She believes at least one other member of the group saw it.
Bullock also dismissed the possibility that she witnessed some kind of drone display, pointing out that the encounter happened long before modern consumer drones became commonplace.
“This was before drones were around,” she explained.
Steven Spielberg Also Believes Aliens Are Here
For years, Bullock apparently kept the story largely to herself. That changed after the U.S. government began publicly releasing information concerning UFOs, now commonly referred to as unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAPs.
Bullock claims government documents described an “exact formation” similar to what she witnessed that had also been reported by pilots.
“So I feel vindicated,” she said.
Whether or not humanity is alone in the cosmos, Bullock is not alone in her belief in extraterrestrial life.

While promoting this summer’s Disclosure Day, director Steven Spielberg said he thinks aliens “have been here and they are here and who knows maybe they’ve always been here.”
Unlike Bullock, the legendary director has never had a close encounter.
“I deserve a sighting!” Spielberg said. “I need a sighting. I’m an ambassador for these guys and they haven’t shown themselves to me. I don’t get that,” he joked.
Bullock Believes Aliens Are Watching Us
While the reality of UFOs will likely remain a point of debate for some time, Bullock’s comments will resonate with anyone who has seen something strange in the night sky. Exactly what she saw—whether it was government testing, extraterrestrial visitors, or the result of too much beer—remains open to speculation.
Yet Bullock has apparently reached her own conclusion about whether humanity is alone.
“I think they’re here,” she told Kelce. “I think they’re here watching and laughing, but they’re invisible.”
