There was a small fire at Magic Kingdom on December 14th. That’s really not the story here. You see, the fire was put out with fire extinguishers, there’s no significant damage, and nobody was hurt. So as far as that goes, there are little grease fires all the time that never reach inclusion on Disney World blogs and news sites. Where this goes different is, that for whatever reason, Reedy Creek Fire and EMS decided they needed to send the big trucks and rescue vehicles down Main Street USA while guests were evacuated.
I don’t know if they thought the fire had the potential to become much larger… maybe we’ll find that out tomorrow from inside sources? But, in the meantime, here’s what it looks like to have emergency vehicles heading down the happiest place on Earth at Christmas:

Walt Disney World has issued a statement about the incident at Magic Kingdom earlier today:

Well, now that’s just something you don’t see every day. Although, it’s been a weird year for Disney Parks. Who can forget earlier this year when Disney Shanghai had the Chinese government descend upon it to shut down the park and quarantine everyone inside over “one” case of the virus?

Let’s just hope 2022 is more normal. I don’t have high hopes, but there’s always a star to wish upon…
