A source with an excellent track record has reached out to That Park Place with information regarding Disney projects in development that we believe is tantalizing and worthy of significant consideration. According to our contact, The Walt Disney Company is taking a wait-and-see approach to Frozen 3 and Rey Movie scripts with special attention given to how Snow White, starring Rachel Zegler, performs at the box office in 2025. Despite Moana 2 managing to cross the billion dollar mark worldwide, many feel the film was a cash grab that has harmed the franchise more broadly, especially in regards to its future consumer enthusiasm. If Snow White dramatically underperforms Disney’s desires, it could point to necessary retooling given the current sociopolitical landscape looks nothing like Disney had likely projected when many of these projects were first announced.

A new article from Metro seems to point to the same:
A third film in the franchise has been announced, but we’re still two years away from its release.
Josh Gad, who voices snowman Olaf in the beloved franchise, insists they don’t want to ‘rush’ the third movie and give fans a flick that is ‘absolutely worthy’ of the 2013 original.

According to our source, both the Rey Movie and Frozen 3 could see significant script alterations depending on how Snow White performs. If the Rachel Zegler live action remake does poorly, it could signal that the era of the “girl boss” on silver screens is rapidly coming to an end. “Disney doesn’t want to be caught in a future they believed would happen but never came to be,” according to our contact.
The former head of Disney Animation, Jennifer Lee, who “stepped down” to solely take on the director role of Frozen 3 and 4, may be in a sticky situation. Lee is known for being a staunch progressive and supporter of the alphabet movement. However, Disney has taken a more public view that they will avoid such issues in children’s content moving forward. Hopes that Elsa would “come out” as an icon for political movements may not be allowed under this new Disney dictate.

Meanwhile, The Rey Movie is undergoing a totally new script creation by the fourth writer to be assigned the project. Rey is often seen as being a very bland character with little fan support because the character was written as the “ultimate girl boss” — an archetype of the far-left in which the female protagonist has no flaw whatsoever, no character development, and thus is unrelatable.
Snow White has racked up record-breaking percentages of dislikes with its back-to-back trailers on YouTube. It could portend poorly for its box office projections. If audience disdain reaches a fever pitch for the film, don’t be surprised if Frozen 3 and Rey suddenly take a very different approach than what had been anticipated before. After all, even Disney doesn’t like to lose billions of dollars; that’s especially true when it might harm their “modern message” which appears to be on life support.
Oh, Lord! Disney simply ignoring progressive politics? I’ll be shocked if they actually do it given their actions and Bob Iger’s claims about diversity being a “skill.” As for Lee, I don’t believe she’ll stick around if she can’t inject her own politics into Frozen 3 and 4. We keep seeing progs quitting high-paying jobs at the WaPo and other companies in protest of their employers embracing the new reality.
Even if she does stay and direct, as a certain lagomorph always says, “The woke can’t create, only destroy.” They’re going to be mediocre at the very best, Disney’s current standard of disastrous flops more likely, with her in charge.
If they believe that they have to change the grading curve for anyone that isn’t a straight white male, does that prove that they believe that anyone who isn’t a straight white male is inferior?
If not, why do it? Why not let people shine on their own merit?

Snow White is doomed to fail, from what we can tell, so it will be nice to see Disney, and companies like Marvel and LucasFilm, change back to the center.
If you have feminists making movies for other feminists, starring feminists, then you’re going to get a show or movie with a limited audience. This is box office suicide, of course.
Race swapping characters from male to female and from white to African because DEI… This exacerbates this box office poison.
