I came across a tribute video for Calvin and Hobbes this past week, and I couldn’t believe it had less than a million views. It deserves to have many millions.
Joseph Conover has created one of the only Calvin and Hobbes animated shorts that looks like it is worthy of the comic it honors. Author of Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson, has always maintained that the ten-year comic should stay within its own medium for the purpose of integrity. That said, this labor of love, with no monetization whatsoever, is fabulous. It’s so good I almost wish Watterson would reconsider if Conover could be in charge.
