Tom Holland is reportedly asking for significantly more pay should he continue to play Spiderman in Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe. Having made approximately $5 million per movie in the past, the young actor could see an increase as high as a quadrupling of his pay. That said, he may have a solid position in negotiations given the buzz surrounding the upcoming Spiderman: No Way Home set to release in December.

Looking at Google Trends, Spiderman has been generating a significant amount of interest in its prerelease. The subject dwarfs the prerelease internet interest of Loki, Shang-Chi, and Black Widow. Remember, Loki was the top streaming show on any platform during its launch weeks. To see Spiderman eclipsing Loki’s prerelease interest should be a huge boon to both Tom Holland and Marvel Entertainment.
Spoilers Ahead
The buzz for the movie is essentially guaranteed to increase over the next couple of months given rumors being actively confirmed that former actors playing Spiderman will be making appearances — perhaps more than cameos — in the upcoming film. Could Spiderman No Way Home be the live action Into the Spiderverse that puts full steam back into the MCU?
For some reason, a lot of you keep thinking that I said Tobey, Andrew and Tom will be surrounded by the Sinister Six in the #SpiderManNoWayHome trailer. For now, this isn't true. All I know is that the 3 Spider-Men are in the trailer. I don't know how they factor into it though. pic.twitter.com/9oIh4vOj8K
