Credit needs to be given where credit is due. In this case, Drunk 3PO was ahead of everyone in scooping huge news, now confirmed by IMDB.

Where There’s Smoke, Maybe Fire? Harrison Ford Back for Star Wars?

Heads up, if you go any further, you’re reading major spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett.

Here we go:

It looks like he’s absolutely nailed it before anybody else. The cast list for IMDB shows that none other than Harrison Ford will be making an appearance in the episode. This lines up with what I’ve been saying about Bob Chapek sending out a company-wide directive to bring back the heavy hitting characters and heroes that fans love. That article is still the top viewed piece we’ve ever done here at That Park Place.

But you came for spoilers, right? Let’s do some more…

What I’m hearing is that not all is exciting for the final episode. While it’s great to know that a young Han Solo is going to be appearing (with a line that will thrill Star Wars fans), you’re also going to get the return of the Vespa kids, including a hover bike action sequence including big time minutes given to Sophie Thatcher’s Drash character. I’m not here to hate on Sophie Thatcher, but the Vespa gang hasn’t been a super popular concept for this series; in fact, it’s been downright ridiculed. But we’re getting more of that in the final episode, and not in a small dose.

And guess who is directing Episode 7?

Robert Rodriguez.

I’m hearing that Lucasfilm has actually been recutting some of Episode 7 as recently as this past week trying to improve the episode after feedback from Episode 3 was abysmal.

So from what I’m hearing, things are not all great with the season finale. Yes, there’s potential for it to be great, but this could also be a train wreck. I’m hearing that Episode 5 is by far the best, and that Episode 6 is quite good with Dave Filoni having been specifically brought in to help with it. But there’s some real concern around Episode 7 internally. Can a Harrison Ford cameo solve that? I don’t know. But we’re going to be doing another motorcycle action sequence in Episode 7 with the same guy that brought you the slowest chase scene in the history of film.

When it comes to them trying to “fix” Episode 7 in time for release, a source says to me that they’re trying to “get the zany out.” Take that for what you will.

I could watch that video by cornddogguy over and over.

For more on the Han Solo situation, make sure to check out Overlord DVD’s video that goes over much of how this was determined. And also, to continue giving credit where it is due, Overlord DVD credits Stephanie Janiczek’s Smuggler’s Cantina with having first discovered the IMDB leak. That’s a small YouTube channel with a monster scoop, so congratulations to Stephanie! And kudos to Overlord DVD for recognizing her — that’s solid gesture that he didn’t have to do, and it deserves praise that he has that kind of integrity to shout out a small YouTuber with such a huge break.
