Finding Din Djarin at Disney’s Hollywood Studios used to take a little luck. Now there’s a schedule. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has added a dedicated Mandalorian and Grogu meet and greet near the Millennium Falcon, complete with a queue and Disney PhotoPass photography.
The new meet and greet runs multiple times a day and has its own listing in the My Disney Experience app, separate from the free-roaming encounters that have been part of the character’s presence in the land since his debut in May 2023.
Two Ways to Find Mando
Guests now get two options. The Mandalorian and Grogu meet and greet happens near the Millennium Falcon, with scheduled appearance times and PhotoPass. The other is “Sightings Around Batuu,” the free-roam version where Din Djarin, with Grogu in tow, moves through the land and interacts with whoever happens to be nearby.
Both are listed in the app under The Mandalorian, each with its own times. Friday’s schedule showed 13 meet and greet sets split between the morning and afternoon, plus 4 roaming sightings at midday and in the evening. The times change by date.
Under the old setup, Mando and Grogu often turned up near Black Spire Marketplace for casual interactions. A few guests got picked for a photo or a quick moment with the pair, but a one-on-one meeting was never guaranteed.

With a traditional queue, anyone willing to wait now gets a turn. The meet and greet still keeps the pair’s signature look, with The Mandalorian carrying Grogu in a satchel as he poses with families.
Chewbacca Moves Over
Making room for the new spot meant shuffling another fan favorite. Chewbacca has moved to the exterior of Black Spire Outpost, essentially taking over the area where The Mandalorian used to appear.
His new location and times are listed in the My Disney Experience app, alongside both of The Mandalorian’s options.
A Big Year for Din Djarin
Din Djarin first showed up in 2019, when the Star Wars series The Mandalorian premiered alongside the launch of Disney+, and the series turned Grogu into one of the most recognizable characters Disney owns. It took a few years for the pair to reach Batuu in person, and another three for them to get a proper meet and greet spot.
The timing lines up with a busy stretch for the character. The Mandalorian and Grogu hit theaters in May 2026, and Disney has already folded the duo deeper into Galaxy’s Edge. The Walt Disney World site now describes Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run as a chance to “join the Mandalorian and Grogu on a new interactive smuggling mission.

The land is also home to Rise of the Resistance, so fans can now ride with the Resistance, fly the Falcon alongside Din Djarin, and line up for a posed photo with him and Grogu in a single visit.
Will you line up for the Mandalorian and Grogu meet and greet, or hold out for a roaming encounter around Batuu? Sound off and let us know!
