Respawn Entertainment’s System Design Director Rayme Vinson took to social media to defend Prime Video’s Fallout Community Manager Liana Ruppert.
Former World of Warcraft Team Lead Mark Kern shared a number of screenshots from Ruppert about white people including one that claims that you cannot be racist against white people and that the “broader community” of white people are “racist.”
ANOTHER toxic Community Manager, @DirtyEffinHippy, formerly of Destiny 2 and current CM for the new @falloutonprime seems to have a very big problem with white people.

Specifically, Ruppert made the claim that non-white people cannot be racist while attempting to defend Star Wars host Krystina Arielle’s anti-white posts and the responses she received after they were made public back in 2021.
Ruppert wrote in response to individuals reacting with vitriol to Arielle, “Don’t be f***ing disgusting. Krystina is incredibly talented, she’s at Star Wars because she’s earned this, and we as white people need to stop taking the race talk as a personal attack and instead as the lesson it is on how to do better when we – historically – haven’t.”
In response to a user who called out Arielle’s hypocrisy, Ruppert declared, “Fundamentally, PoC can’t be racist against white people. They can have bias, but racism is systematic and in the US, the system benefits the white community and has been since we established ourselves at the start of our country’s history.”
Later in this same thread and shared by Kern, Ruppert asserted that the “broader community” of white people is “racist.”
Ruppert wrote, “You’re taking it personally, as per my original post, and need to atop. When PoC say white people, they are saying the broader community that is still very much inherently racist. You don’t get to dictate that, neither do I, as white people. Sorry, that’s not up for debate.”
Vinson defended these comments writing on X, “Again with the grifting and griefing from this boring lot. At this point you can assume that anyone they’ve singled out and preyed on – like Liana Ruppert here – is a person worth knowing and standing next to. You can ignore the mean losers.”
According to Vinson’s LinkedIn, he’s worked at Respawn for 14 years beginning as a Senior Software Engineer in 2010. He remained in that position until 2018. He appeared to have been promoted to Senior Game Designer in 2018 and stayed in that role until 2023. In 2023, he was promoted to Systems Design Director.
Before working at Respawn, he worked as a Programmer at Infinity Ward from December 2005 to March 2010.
What do you make of Vinson’s defense of Rupper’s comments that you can’t be racist towards white people and that the broader community of white people are racist?
