Taylor Swift is reportedly going ghost on her longtime pal Blake Lively.

The pop superstar has allegedly severed ties with longtime friend Blake Lively following the actress’ escalating legal battle with It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni. According to a report published by the Daily Mail on June 3, Swift has gone no-contact with Lively after being dragged into the courtroom drama—reportedly ignoring all texts, calls, and emails from the actress.

“Even though Taylor has totally cut ties with her, Blake hasn’t with Taylor,” a source told the Daily Mail. “She’s been reaching out to her with texts, voicemails and even emails begging to mend what they once had. Blake isn’t giving up on trying to get her friendship with Taylor back on track.”

The report claims that Swift has remained completely unresponsive to what the outlet calls Lively’s “groveling excuses.”

“Taylor hasn’t responded to any of Blake’s pleas. She’s ignored all her groveling excuses,” the insider claimed. “The missives explain there must be some misunderstanding on Taylor’s part and that she would never do anything to harm their 10 years of closeness and personal secrets.”

The source went on to say, “Taylor obviously still means so much to Blake, but Taylor’s totally done with her and as of right now, no requests will mend their bond as far as she’s concerned.”

The situation appears to have unraveled in May, when Taylor Swift was subpoenaed by Baldoni’s legal team as part of his countersuit against Lively. Swift was ultimately dropped from the witness list, but the damage to the decade-long friendship may have already been done.

“Their friendship has halted,” a separate source told People on May 15. “Taylor wants no part in this drama.”

Baldoni’s legal team withdrew the subpoena on May 22nd, after Swift’s representative issued a firm denial of any involvement.

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,” the rep told The Post.

Despite the official clarification, the incident clearly fractured the once-close relationship between the two A-listers. Swift is godmother to several of Lively’s children, and the pair were frequently seen together at events, including the 2024 Super Bowl.

Adding fuel to the fire, Baldoni’s countersuit alleged that Lively referred to Swift and her husband Ryan Reynolds as her “dragons” in a text conversation—calling herself “Khaleesi” in a nod to Game of Thrones—and claimed Swift was present for a critical rooftop scene discussion at the couple’s NYC penthouse.

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, also filed a letter alleging that Lively’s attorney, Michael Gottlieb, threatened to release Swift’s personal messages unless the pop star publicly supported Lively. That letter was swiftly struck from the record.

“It took the court less than 24 hours to see through Mr. Freedman’s irrelevant, improper and inflammatory accusations, strike them, remove them from the court and warn Mr. Freedman that further misconduct may be met with sanctions,” a spokesperson for Lively told The Post at the time.

Lively has denied all of Baldoni’s allegations, which stem from her December 2024 lawsuit accusing the It Ends With Us director of sexual harassment, emotional distress, and defamation. Baldoni, in turn, filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds.

In a development earlier this week, Baldoni’s legal team revealed that Lively was attempting to withdraw her claims of intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress after the defense sought access to her medical records. Baldoni’s lawyers argued that Lively had waived doctor-patient privilege by citing mental and physical injuries in her lawsuit.

Meanwhile, social media has picked up on another potential sign of the split: Swift’s boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, recently unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram. While it’s unclear when the unfollow occurred, fans are pointing to it as another indication that Swift is cutting ties with both Lively and her Hollywood husband.

The drama surrounding It Ends With Us shows no signs of slowing down and now it’s apparently destroyed the 10 year friendship of Blake Lively and Taylor Swift. Barring a settlement, the Baldoni–Lively trial is scheduled to begin in March 2026.
