Over the past few hours, Pablo Hidalgo has clarified that he is continuing to work for Lucasfilm… something That Park Place has never contended was untrue. However, in our original reporting, we discussed the following items:
- Pablo Hidalgo, an employee of Lucasfilm, has a history of acerbic contact with fans.
- Commentary by Pablo Hidalgo regarding a channel called Star Wars Theory resulted in an apology from Mr. Hidalgo.
- A tweet from Mr. Hidalgo regarding Bad Robot (JJ Abram’s company) and Lucasfilm that exposed potential criticism of The Force Awakens was subsequently removed.
- Mr. Hidalgo had changed his employment status on Twitter.
Something Odd at Lucasfilm: Pablo Hidalgo Social Media Status
As a result, we’ve been mentioned by Mr. Hidalgo and a gentleman by the name of Colum Slevin (Twitter name at least). While there’s a shot taken at our website due to our Twitter following — we don’t focus on social media engagement although we certainly appreciate it — the real opportunity here is for Pablo Hidalgo to potentially clarify some thoughts that fans have. Though he may dismiss his importance for being covered, he’s made plenty of news in the past, and seems to continue to do so. So, here’s our Twitter response reaching out to Mr. Hidalgo, and we offer him the opportunity to either respond or even do an interview if he’d like. We try to be fair and positive to the very best of our ability. We also have thousands of readers a day, so we’d be happy to provide him with a spotlight. At the least, we believe Mr. Hidalgo is newsworthy, even if he’s a bit humble.
Thanks for your unsolicited advice, but tbh if Park Place News is hitting their 24 followers with this scoop, I'm gonna listen is all I'm saying pic.twitter.com/3NvCNBRb4b

We’re happy to let Mr. Hidalgo clear the air if he’d like. It’s totally up to him, and we’re not going to be negative if he refuses or ignores. Everyone makes their own choices. But we’d love to know if Bob Chapek’s recent memorandum has had any policy changes at Lucasfilm as a result, have clarification if Mr. Hidalgo is still on the Story Group, etc.
The ball is in your court, sir.
As always, keep checking out That Park Place for all the latest news that truly should be fun.
