The following article is an opinion-piece and does not necessarily reflect the viewpoints of That Park Place or its writers. Messages about war are all allegorical in nature in regards to tactics for redirecting the trajectory of Star Wars fiction and narrative. Political opinions expressed herein are the author’s alone — That Park Place takes no official political or sociocultural position.
If you are like me, you’ve watched the news coming out of Disney in recent weeks with revulsion and disgust. For some time, we have labored under the hope that the board, under the direction of Susan Arnold would reign in the excesses of agitators within the company. There was a collective hope that their activism would only go so far. – that there were some depths to which this corporation would not stoop when it came to our kids. We know that Bob Chapek had planned to formally announce an apolitical strategy to take Disney out of the culture war, reign in the creatives, and get back to the business of making money. That announcement was to be made this month.
Sadly, this foreknowledge gave the enemy an advantage that they exploited – weakening Chapek and causing the board to bend the knee to the LGBTQ+ agenda – indoctrination through what is supposed to be family-friendly programming. There is a possibility that they have overplayed their hand, with state governments now responding. Now that leaked videos supplied by Chris Rufo have gone public and gained media airtime, the general public is paying attention. Disneys stock took a 30% hit today. While this may be temporary, it is a blow that the shareholders and board will be unable to ignore – with this, I believe now is the time to strike. Susan Arnold and Bob Chapek cannot fight this battle alone. They need overwhelming support to force the company to moderate. With that thought in mind, I sought to put myself in mind of the master tactician and his real-life inspiration.
My position is that we should aggressively prevent, identify, and prosecute sexual abuse in every institution that assumes the care of children: churches, schools, etc. Public schools have legal authority over 50 million children and should not be exempt from scrutiny.

“To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics, but their history, philosophy – Art.” – Grand Admiral Thrawn
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” – Sun Tzu
We know ourselves – we are parents and children who have enjoyed Disney properties throughout the years. We’re Moms and Dads and kids who are young and heart and wanting one safe place to escape the cares and troubles of everyday life – one place that isn’t a battlefield. We also now know the face of our enemy – they will stop at nothing, and cross every ethical line in furtherence of their agenda. They care nothing for the properties they corrupt – only for how they can be used.
It’s over Anakin – I have the high ground!” – Obi-Wan Kenobi
“All armies prefer high ground to low, and sunny places to dark.” – Sun Tzu
In a battle to protect our kids from concepts that should only be coming from their parents, we have the high ground. Thanks to leaked videos from Chris Rufo, we also have sunlight on the dark places our enemy wishes to remain concealed. Now is the time to recruit more from within the Disney organization. If we want to win this war, we have to cultivate intelligence sources and encourage leaks. Seeing Disneys true agenda is forcing Disney to take uncomfortable public stances which are hurting their bottom line. If you know someone in a position to be making decisions or influencing corporate strategy at Disney – talk to them. These should not be right or left issues – we should ALL be able to agree that Disney is here for entertainment, NOT to instruct our kids.
What enables the wise sovereign and the good general to strive and conquer and achieve things beyond the reach of ordinary men is foreknowledge.” – Sun Tzu
This is a maxim that the agitators within Disney used to great effect to attack Chapeks response to Florida House Bill 1557. What appeared to be an initial victory for them may now be exploited. Disney thrives by controlling the media narrative. They have entire news channel that allows them to do so. However, there are some public events they cannot completely control. One such coming up is Star Wars Celebration, taking place on May 27th. How embarrassing will it be for Disney if they have an overwhelming number of Cara Dune Cosplayers? Will they be brave enough to have Q&A’s? If so, they should be made to answer uncomfortable questions about their narrative positions. If not, we should be posting questions ourselves online.

“That general is skillful in attack whose opponent does not know what to defend; and he is skillful in defense whose opponent does not know what to attack.”
“An army without its baggage train is lost; without provisions, it is lost; without bases of supply, it is lost.” – Sun Tzu
Disney has reaped the benefits of sweetheart deals in many states. If you believe that no corporation should be pushing a sexualized agenda upon our kids, I would urge you to contact your state representatives. Urge them to rescind any state benefits they currently enjoy. Ask them if state pensions are invested in Disney properties. If they are, ask them why. Make this an issue for Disney. Doing so provides a threefold benefit – it holds our state representatives accountable to the people and not corporations; it holds Disney accountable for their positions, and it provides an avenue of attack on Disney that they cannot defend themselves against. They may be able to attack us individually – attacking politicians would be biting the hand that feeds them.
“When the army is restless and distrustful, trouble is sure to come from the feudal princes. This is simply bringing anarchy into the army, and flinging victory away.” “If your opponent is of choleric temper, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. Attack him when he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.”
“When fire breaks out in an enemies camp, respond at once with an attack from without.” – Sun Tzu
While Susan Arnold and Bob Chapek have had a strategy in mind to moderate Disney, entrenched Iger supporters have enough strength to at least make them appear to be nervous. Supporters of Chapek will tell you that this may be an affected position – drawing the enemy out to expose themselves, to cause their plans to backfire. This HAS been the operating method of Chapek thus far. Even if this is not the case, the board is cleary divided. To ensure victory, we must inflame these tensions. The roller coaster that Disney stock appears to be on will force an adjustment. If you are in a position to do so, cancel your Disney+ subscription Explain why you are doing so. If you can afford to do so, sell your Disney stock. Send a message – Disney is to provide entertainment – not assume the role of parent.
“To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.”
“Now, when your weapons are dulled, your ardor dampened, your strength exhausted and your treasures spent, other chieftans’ will spring up to take advantage of your extremity. Then no man, however wise, will be able to avert the consequences that must ensue.” – Sun Tzu
“But it was so…artfully done.” – Grand Admiral Thrawn
If we take the fight to the enemy from unexpected avenues, we can confound them. To win this battle, we must make Disneys stances crystal clear to the general audience. Our position at this point should be to exhaust Disney – even they have a limit to the resources they can expend fighting these Quixotic battles. If we think like the Rebels do, and strike from our hidden bases, we can turn their greatest strengths against them.
