It’s a big, big day for truth and journalism in entertainment news. The Pro Show launches today at 5:00 PM ET and That Park Place is relaunching with all new features!
Since August of 2021, WDW Pro and That Park Place have been bringing you the latest news that should be fun all throughout the entertainment industry. Starting off with writers like Manu Lopez, John Golf, Rick Frazier, Pam Fitzgerald and more, the site has continued to grow. We’ve added Valliant Renegade to our contributors, Star Wars guru Lorn Conner, investigative reporter Jonas Campbell, and others. But despite our remarkable growth in readership and on YouTube, That Park Place was hit with a number of huge issues starting in November of 2022. Suddenly, our site was made almost inoperable despite many attempts to resolve the situation. It seemed that for whatever reason, our hosting company simply didn’t want us or couldn’t manage to keep us running.
But that didn’t slow us down…
In spite of the site suffering huge issues beyond our control, we kept working. Articles continued, new videos were created, channels were birthed into existence, and we continued to build a network of sister sites and personalities that we highlight each and every day.
Now, we’re on a brand new, upgraded server with a new company. And we’re about to change the face of entertainment news and opinion forever.
The Pro Show is launching at 5:00 PM today on the WDW Pro Channel. During the show, Pro is going to mention a little bit about upcoming memberships on his channel. One of the top-level membership rewards is something that we’re incredibly excited about. You see, That Park Place is a recognized news source with Google News. We’re ranked on a number of other news aggregators. We’re easy to find. And yet, as you might have guessed watching us persevere, that’s not easy to do. And so, we’re going to be offering top-level members of the WDW Pro Channel the opportunity to submit up to an article a week to be hosted right here on That Park Place. It will be able to be found via Google, Bing, Google News and more. We’ll handle the image, the meta data, the proofreading, the editing… and citizen journalists — that’s you — will be able to get your info out onto the web and into the eyes of readers.
And who knows, maybe you’ll do such a great job and enjoy it so much that it goes farther and becomes something more than just a membership reward? That’s the cool thing about it. It makes for a great portfolio item as well. No, we won’t be able to use every single submission (vulgar and off-topic articles will never fly here), but we trust our readers and biggest fans to do an awesome job.
Working for That Park Place, creating content each and every day… that’s hard. But submitting an article whenever you feel like it and knowing that a team of editors is going to make your voice look and read fantastic with all the power behind amplifying your message? That could be a lot of fun. And in doing so, we just might change the way entertainment journalism, coverage, and editorials are handled. It’s going to be a very fun opportunity.
