Who is really winning the streaming wars and is Obi-Wan Kenobi a cultural phenomenon like two other media entries this summer?

If you’ve been visiting That Park Place very much, you know that there is a bit of controversy surrounding Stranger Things and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Neilsen ratings were released yesterday and though they show Stranger Things trouncing Kenobi in terms of minutes watched, there are plenty of people who think there’s more to see. What’s strange is, why didn’t Neilson show a breakdown between Obi Wan & Stranger things episode 1 & 2? They both came out at roughly the same time and Neilson chose to only show numbers for episode 1. I’m betting because Obi Wan’s viewership already started to drop with episode 2. Further, I’m betting this Neilson numbers “release” is a puff piece for Disney so that they can “show” they can compete with Netflix (for advertising dollars)

I’d suggest getting on somebody who doesn’t already agree with you sometime. I’ve heard you wanted to get Kamran on but he’s busy producing his own content, and after a bad experience with the Midnight’s Edge chat the last time he was on, and the extreme pessimism against the show for political reasons, he’s sadly done with YouTube. One less voice that could’ve provided a much needed perspective in the YT environment, especially Fandom Menace channels, and that’s completely their fault for being stubbornly fixated on culture war politics and stuck in 2018.
