It was a mostly positive Super Bowl for 2022, and as we wait on the official ratings to come in, it already seems that advertisers had a massive market to succeed with… even considering the Super Bowl is known for a massive market. While some commercials were better than others, there are a few that simply missed the mark. Let’s take a look at the five commercials we think marketing agencies might want to mulligan if only they had a chance.

Before going on, make sure to stop by and read our Top Five list as well!

The Five Best Super Bowl Commercials for 2022

The Worst:

5. Planet Fitnesss: What’s Got Into Lindsay

The problem here is that Lindsay is neither popular nor relevant. If you’re going to try to sell a product, you’d want a celebrity who is both of those. Still, it’s not all bad as we love to see William Shatner looking so well!

4. Disney Plus: The Goat

Disney is one of those companies with a near-infinite budget. Their most important asset for the future of their company is Disney+. So who thought that having goats wear costumes was the way to sell it? Is it quirky? Sure. But it’s probably not convincing anyone to buy the platform.

3. Amazon’s Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

You’ve pretty much got one job if you’re Amazon marketing this thing: get the original fans back. They made the Peter Jackson movies billions. That doesn’t appear to have happened; in fact, this seems to be doing the opposite. It will win applause from some, but those clapping also aren’t likely to care about elves and dwarves.

2. Crypto.com: Future Favors the Brave

Yet again, here is Lebron James trying to copy a Michael Jordan thing… this time a commercial with his younger self. So how is that the Michael Jordan commercial from twenty-five years ago is more realistic than this one? The CGI Lebron is just horrible… it belongs more in a video game… then again, NBA 2K does a better job.

1. Gilette

Did they know this was a Super Bowl commercial?
