It is ridiculously hot today in Disney World. Check out our choices for the very best treats to cool you down once you think you can stand the heat no longer!
If you’re at the Walt Disney World theme parks this Fourth of July, we’re sorry. No, really. We love Disney World and I love to stroll around the parks, but this is just unbearable levels of heat combined with capacity-bursting crowd-levels. Luckily for all of you, we have the three best treats to beat the heat if you’re waiting to watch fireworks at Magic Kingdom or Epcot.
Here are our picks:
Lefou’s Brew
Located at the northern-most spot in Magic Kingdom, Gaston’s Tavern is home to the Lefou’s Brew. It’s Disney’s answer to Butter Beer. It doesn’t quite match the Harry Potter decadent dessert, but it does a heck of a job if you’re needing to cool down. For those of you who are vegan or gluten adverse, it’s free of anything you wouldn’t want. So check out this fruity, creamy, ice cold drink once you think you just can’t stand one more degree on the heat index!
Lime Dole Whip
We know that some people swear by the traditional Dole Whip. We agree that both the original and the Pineapple Dole Whip Float are both some of the best refreshers you’ll ever have. However, there is a winner that stands above both the originals when it comes to ultra hot days. If you haven’t tried the Lime Dole Whip yet, you’re missing out. Just be warned, it is tart!
Paradise Drink
Is it cheating to include a Starbucks drink in the list? Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. What we know for sure is that when it’s hot at Magic Kingdom, you’re not going to care. You just want the coldest, most refreshing drink available. Not only is the Paradise Drink our choice for the best refresher in the parks, but this pineapple and coconut milk offering is for sale inside air conditioning. When the thermometer reads one-hundred, we figure that’s worth twenty dollars all on its own. But it’s free. Heck, the rest of your family might even want to stand in line with you just to feel the interior breeze!
So what do you think? Do you have any icy cold suggestions to beat the heat in Disney World? Let us know in the comments below! And if you’re in the parks today, make sure to stay hydrated and safe. It’s hot!
