Media personality Tim Pool announced he will not run advertisements for an upcoming adaptation of Animal Farm produced by Angel Studios and directed by Andy Serkis, citing strong objections to the film’s interpretation of the source material.
In a post published Friday evening, Pool stated that his show had been approached to promote the project but declined after reviewing the film.
Pool Declines Advertising Opportunity
According to Pool, the decision followed a request tied to the film’s distribution through Angel Studios.

“Timcast IRL has been asked to run ads promoting Animal Farm next week which is being distributed by Angel Studios,” Pool said, noting that he has previously supported the distributor’s work. “Angel studios has done tremendous work in the past and I have been a fan for some time.”
Despite that, Pool said he chose to reject the advertising deal.
Objections to Film’s Interpretation
Pool’s criticism centered on what he described as the film’s thematic direction.
“I am rejecting these ads outright as the film is shockingly offensive as it is pro communism and anti capitalism,” he said, noting that he has seen the entire movie. “The film in its entirety is a critique of capitalism from beginning to end and even has pro leftist ter***ism elements.”
Pool characterized the adaptation as a departure from what he views as the intent of the original novel.
Originally published in 1945, Animal Farm by George Orwell is widely regarded as a political allegory critiquing the rise of Soviet communism. The novel follows a group of farm animals who overthrow their human owner in pursuit of equality, only to see their revolution gradually corrupted as the pigs consolidate power.

Orwell wrote the story as a warning about how revolutionary ideals can be manipulated and ultimately betrayed. The character of Napoleon, a pig who seizes control of the farm, is commonly understood to represent Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, while the broader narrative reflects the transformation of a populist movement into an authoritarian regime.
Over time, Animal Farm has become a staple of political literature and is frequently interpreted as a critique of centralized power structures and ideological extremism. Its enduring message—that systems built on promises of equality can devolve into oppression—has contributed to its status as one of the most widely taught and discussed novels of the 20th century.
Acknowledging Business Impact
Pool also acknowledged that rejecting advertising opportunities can carry financial consequences, but said he felt compelled to speak out.

“I understand that this statement may be one the stupidest things a company in the business of running ads can do, but I am so offended by this film I decided I must publish this statement,” he said. “I hope Angel studios corrects this error and gets back to promoting positive films and messaging as they have in the past but I will not be party to nor defend such an egregious insult to a classic book and important message.”
Confirms He Viewed the Entire Film
In follow-up replies to users questioning his assessment, Pool confirmed that his opinion was based on having seen the full film.
For clarity, yes I have seen the entire film

Shame on Angel Studios for distributing leftist propaganda. Between this and them hiring SJW clowns like Mark Hamill they are not getting a penny out of me.
Animal Farm, an amazing book, is a warning about communism. Any movie of the book that claims the opposite was directed by the descendants of Squealer.
Just to add, it’s all incredibly ironic.
This movie will be a disgrace, but I also can’t stand bald crybaby Tim Pool.
I assumed every asswhipe from the generation succeeding mine, wore them tukes, for failed style points.
Word of advice: lose the stocking caps.
Tim Pool is a Leftist Retărd.
The dude has SUED over Speech before, and is against the Death Penalty.
I don’t care if a Leftist is mad at other Leftist.
It’s just Retărds on a Short Bus fighting………….
