Donald Trump has made waves once again, this time by appointing three prominent Hollywood legends—Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, and Jon Voight—as “Special Ambassadors” tasked with reviving Hollywood’s struggling industry.

With Hollywood’s domestic box office revenues down 23.5% from pre-pandemic levels, and the 2023 actors’ and writers’ strikes still leaving their mark, Trump’s move signals a bold plan to steer the entertainment capital away from the identity politics and agenda-driven narratives that have led to widespread audience alienation and declining profits.
In his announcement on Truth Social, Trump stated, “It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California. They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”

This appointment comes at a time when Hollywood is grappling with significant challenges, including financial strain from declining box office returns and a growing exodus of talent and production dollars to more business-friendly international locations like Canada and Australia.
Once a bastion of creativity and cultural influence, Hollywood has struggled in recent years to connect with audiences, many of whom feel disenfranchised by the relentless focus on divisive social agendas instead of quality storytelling.
A Return to ‘The Golden Age of Hollywood’
Trump’s choice of Stallone, Gibson, and Voight is far from arbitrary. These three actors not only represent the Hollywood of yesteryear, which delivered iconic blockbusters beloved by audiences worldwide, but also share a commitment to traditional American values and an industry-first work ethic.
Stallone, best known for his roles in Rocky and Rambo, has remained an enduring symbol of resilience and hard work. He introduced Trump at a Mar-a-Lago gala, hailing him as the “second George Washington.” Stallone’s recent work on the Paramount+ drama Tulsa King and the upcoming action film Working Man shows his continued influence in both mainstream and independent projects.

Mel Gibson, a director and actor once sidelined by Hollywood’s cancel culture, has proven his enduring talent with projects like Hacksaw Ridge, which garnered critical acclaim and Oscar recognition. Gibson’s response to the ambassadorial role was both humble and humorous.
“I got the tweet at the same time as all of you and was just as surprised,” the Braveheart star said. “Nevertheless, I heed the call. My duty as a citizen is to give any help and insight I can.”
Jon Voight, an outspoken supporter of Trump, brings decades of experience and gravitas. His recent appearances in films like Megalopolis and Reagan underscore his ability to navigate both modern cinema and historical storytelling, making him an ideal advocate for revitalizing the industry.
Why Hollywood Needs to Change
For years, Hollywood has doubled down on identity politics, pushing divisive narratives at the expense of quality entertainment. The result? Declining ticket sales, an exodus of talent, and increasing reliance on foreign markets to sustain bloated budgets. These issues were exacerbated by the 2023 strikes, which delayed major releases and left audiences with fewer options at the box office.

Moreover, businesses in Southern California are still reeling from the impact of wildfires and skyrocketing costs. Trump’s ambassadors, armed with their decades of industry knowledge and dedication to the craft, aim to bring stability and profitability back to Hollywood. Their mission will focus on reviving what Trump described as the “Golden Age of Hollywood,” a time when the industry prioritized storytelling and creative excellence over political posturing.
A Promising Vision For a Struggling Industry
The appointment of Stallone, Gibson, and Voight as Special Ambassadors sends a clear message: Hollywood must prioritize its audiences again. By focusing on quality content and distancing itself from divisive agendas, the industry has a chance to reclaim its former glory and win back the trust of moviegoers.

In a world increasingly disillusioned with Hollywood’s virtue signaling and identity politics, Trump’s move represents a refreshing shift toward pragmatism and tradition. Whether this will usher in a new era of prosperity remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—change is desperately needed, and these three legends are ready to lead the charge.
How do you feel about these Trump Hollywood ambassadors? Did the incoming president make the right choice? Sound off in the comments and let us know!

Okay? So… Donald Trump is going to talk into private business? Hollywood has literally nothing to do with White House. Now, I am not on the side of Hollywood and their incessant DEI virtue signaling and messaging, oh god no… But I am definitely against President of USA attempting to, in any way, influencing media. Or any politician anyway. This is way to hell, trust me, I live in Czech Republic, where the multibilionaire, owner of the biggest party (ANO2011), former (and probably future (this year)) Prime Minister, Andrej Babiš owned the biggest media corp (he sold them to an ally, sooo…).
they should have stayed quiet then, they made a hate campaign towards donald trump and fired, blacklisted anyone who dared to support him. If you dont want smoke then dont start a fire.
This is probably a way to make the canceled voices return, and put another dagger into the gender ideology madness in entertainment, and personally i hope that anyone that genderbend or raceswap characters in hollywood should be fired, not the “actors” they are basically idiotic parrots, the real problem is behind, like producer activist, donors etc and hope this people are punished properly.
I agree that when government put the hands on something its usually for the worst, but we just need so bad to get ride of those unsufferable activist
Why should have they stayed quiet? Who is forbidding to those… silenced to start a new Hollywood in Texas or Florida? Government has no business in personal business except taxes and basic protections. But definitely no influencing… so if there are insufferable people (which in itself is about personal preferences), so fkin what? Unless these people broke the law, government has no fkin right to put ANYONE there to influence media. Capitalism has embedded basic safeguards… like if you overdone it like Hollywood did, your profits shrinks by one fifth. That hurts! And will be self corrected by very angry investors.
And btw… “they should have stayed quiet then”; now imagine this to be said to you. You realize how stupid that sounds? Do you know what freedom of speech is? (freedom of speech is that you can say whatever you want and not to be prosecuted by the GOVERNMENT. If a company decide that you should be fired because you support that and that? That is their decision and their potential loss. I am all for free market of thoughts, freedom of speech, freedom of decisions and also for responsibility for one’s actions, and all with mantinels of laws and morals. And if someone feels like they got fked over? That’s where the government comes in the form of judicial system, the aforementioned basic protections.
They can critique however they want, even lie, and if Donald Trump things they smeared him… he should have fkin sue them thousands of times over.
And who is going to decide who is “insufferable activist”? Some Ministry of Truth? He will just do exactly the same as those you oppose, just in your favor. Just attempts to silence opposition while propping his own people…
I usually would agree there, stop censorship, stop firing people by political ideas, etc etc, but i lived in this world last 10 years, i am sorry but i am not so holy as to say nah we forgive It and wont do the same, screw them.
And regarding the insufferable activist hunt, just ask which are your pronoums, how many genders there are, and ask them if White is a problem, there done, you can purge 99% of activist with just the info of 3 questions
I say we don’t censor them and make sure their ideas and opinions are on full display for everyone to see. As much as groups with malicious and/or subversive attempts need some publicity, too much will destroy everything they’re working towards. That’s why SBI freaked out when Sweet Baby Detected was created. It exposed them and what they really stood for rather than what they claimed.
We are sick of their effing ideas being on display for 20 years already, now i hope trump force them to shut up and go away so we can go back to normal world where there is no need to castrate children, Movies can be about love between male and female, and Heroism can come back isntead of the some minority or feminist losers preaching about how opressed they are while having earth destroying powers.
If you’re really so stern in you’re stance here that government shouldn’t be involved in media or private business. How are failing to see that the left wing of that very same government has had its hand in the deck for the last forty fckn years? The very situation that you so fear has already been in play possibly before you were even born. At the very least since the 50s. Normally I would agree with what your laying down but what do you do when it’s already rotting because of the very same thing.? You’re argument kinda sounds like an oxymoron position at this point. Does someone intervene and stop the left wing monopoly on media or should we just let it burn?
I disagree with Trump on this one. Hollywood just needs to burn.
uhh…no, Hollywood was not “ruined by” just identity politics, it ruined itself through all sorts of virtue signaling, moral decadence and endlessly stagnated creativity.
Brilliant the idiots in Hollywood can get the F@#k out enough woke bollox
