In a bold move that’s got everyone talking, President Donald Trump has once again proven he’s not one to back down from critics, especially those who’ve made a career out of bashing him. The latest chapter in the Trump Rosie saga unfolded over the weekend when the President took to Truth Social to address his longtime nemesis, Rosie O’Donnell.

Trump declared he’s giving “serious consideration” to revoking her U.S. citizenship, labeling her a “Threat to Humanity” and suggesting she stay put in Ireland, where she’s been living since fleeing the U.S. after his election victory.

Trump posted early Saturday morning: “Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

O’Donnell, never one to stay silent, fired back on Instagram with her usual venom.

“The president of the USA has always hated the fact that i see him for who he is – a criminal con man se***l abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself,” she wrote. “This is why i moved to Ireland – he is a dangerous old soulless man with dementia who lacks empathy compassion and basic humanity. I stand in direct opposition all he represents- so do millions of others – u [sic] gonna deport all who stand against ur evil tendencies – ur a bad joke who cant form a coherent sentence.”

In a follow-up, she added: “Hey, Donald –you’re rattled again? 18 years later and I still live rent-free in that collapsing brain of yours.” She even shared a photo of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein, trying to stir the pot further.

This isn’t some new spat— the bad blood between Trump and Rosie goes back nearly two decades.

It all kicked off in December 2006 when O’Donnell, then co-hosting The View, slammed Trump for giving Miss USA Tara Conner a second chance after her partying scandals. O’Donnell called him a “snake-oil salesman” with questionable morals, mocking his bankruptcies and personal life.

Trump hit back hard, labeling her “disgusting” and a “real loser” in interviews and statements. The feud escalated during Trump’s 2016 presidential run, peaking at the first Republican debate when moderator Megyn Kelly questioned his past comments about women.

Trump’s quip? “Only Rosie O’Donnell.” It drew laughs and cemented the rivalry.

Over the years, Rosie O’Donnell has accused Trump of everything from being a “con artist” to lacking empathy, while Trump has dismissed her as irrelevant and unhinged. Even in March 2025, after moving to Ireland, O’Donnell cited Trump’s win as her motivation, telling followers: “Protect your sanity as much as you can, and try not to swim in the chaos, if possible. But I know it’s nearly impossible when you’re there in the middle of it.”

Legally, revoking birthright citizenship—protected by the 14th Amendment—is a tall order that falls outside Trump’s presidential authority. As Variety noted in its coverage: “Birthright citizenship, which has been tested by Trump early in his second term, is a protected right under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution and can not legally be revoked by the president.”

This is likely something the president knows, and many believe he was simply trying to get a reaction on social media as one of the most notorious feuds in Hollywood history continues on an international scale.
