Ubisoft is once again in turmoil as a minority shareholder prepares to stage a demonstration outside the company’s Paris headquarters. AJ Investments, led by CEO Juraj Krúpa, has accused Ubisoft’s management of severe mismanagement, lack of transparency, and allowing the company’s value to plummet.

Mad Lemming

Demonstrations aren’t going to work. Nor do I believe Tencent will buy out You Be Soft; Winnie the Pooh wants Chinese companies to push Chinese IPs, not Western ones. Plus the company’s name is mud among customers now so it’s not even worth using them as a shell to push things. I could be dead wrong, but that’s just the feeling I get going by everything I know about the situation.

If nothing else, this is shining a light on just how bad things really are with the French company. If shareholders don’t dump and run afterwards, they deserve whatever losses they incur by staying. Because I’m certain the company’s going to be bankrupt after AC Shadows releases.

Games like Prince of Persia and Assassin’s Creed were good because of the blending of parkour and combat, not even always so much the story. Emulate those and you don’t need the company; just make your own story that has those elements.

Mad Lemming

Games like Dying Light already have. It’s not nearly enough.

Deceptive practices like hiding the big black guy on the AC posters behind a fat kid?
Ubisoft 🤡 made a woke game for the BLM activists, and set $Hundreds of Millions on fire. 😂
