Places like Walt Disney World have the potential to see a significant increase in tourism as the United States has just announced it will be ending an 18-month ban on travelers entering from the United Kingdom and Europe. The ban will end on November 8th, 2021.

Other stipulations will be in place, many of which are not placed on United States citizens. Tourists from the EU and UK will have to show proof of vaccination, plus have a negative COVID-19 test result within three days of flight. A mandatory quarantine upon arrival will not be required.

This is fantastic news for a tourism industry that has been hit especially hard by the pandemic. Now, on top of lower visitor traffic, the industry faces a significant supply chain shortage that may be unprecedented in the modern era. Hopefully, the easing of restrictions on international tourism will be at least one positive going into the winter. No announcements have been made in regard to other international areas under ban, but That Park Place will report on them should they be lifted as well.
