Universal Orlando Resort has released its calendar of seasonal events for 2026, outlining dates for Halloween Horror Nights, the Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle experience, and the Back to Hogwarts celebration. The schedule spans much of the year and includes a mix of longstanding and limited-time offerings.
Winter and Spring Events
Universal’s official 2026 calendar includes several additional seasonal events throughout the year.
Rock the Universe, scheduled for January 23rd and 24th, is a Christian music festival that features live concerts and faith-based programming. The event typically includes performances from contemporary Christian artists and access to select attractions during the evening hours.

Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval will run from February 7 through April 4, 2026. The event combines elements inspired by New Orleans Mardi Gras celebrations with international cuisine. Guests can expect themed food booths, a parade featuring bead tossing, and live music performances on select nights.

Butterbeer Season will take place from March 1st through May 31st. The seasonal offering highlights the fictional beverage from the Harry Potter series. During this period, the resort introduces limited-time Butterbeer treats and variations across food and beverage locations in the wizarding areas.
Summer to Christmas Events
The Back to Hogwarts celebration in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is scheduled to run from August 1 through September 1, 2026. This limited-time experience aligns with the start of the Hogwarts school calendar. During this period, the wizarding areas typically feature themed decorations, specialty food items, and merchandise tied to the start of the Hogwarts school year. Activities usually take place in both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.
Passholder Appreciation Days are scheduled from August 15th through September 30th. The program provides exclusive perks for annual passholders. These benefits often include discounts, limited-time merchandise, and dedicated experiences across the theme parks, hotels, and Universal CityWalk.

Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights will mark its 35th anniversary on select nights from August 28 through November 1, 2026. The separately ticketed event takes place at Universal Studios Florida after regular park hours. It traditionally includes multiple haunted houses, themed scare zones, live stage shows, and food and merchandise tied to the event’s themes. Universal has not yet released specific details about haunted houses or creative concepts planned for 2026.
A Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle experience will also return during fall 2026 on select nights. The nighttime offering centers on projection effects displayed on Hogwarts Castle in Hogsmeade. In previous years, the experience has included appearances by costumed performers portraying Death Eaters in Diagon Alley. Universal has not announced exact dates or frequency for the Dark Arts presentations.

Universal’s year-end celebration, Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort, is set to run from November 14, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The seasonal program traditionally includes holiday décor, themed entertainment, and seasonal food offerings throughout the resort.
