If you’re wanting to enjoy the fun and festivities of Easter, it seems you’ll need to go to places like the Walt Disney World Resort or Dollywood rather than Universal Studios. That’s not a ding against Universal, just a realization that they’re not doing much in the way of bunnies, eggs, baskets or religious observances. Still, they do have a few things happening outside the theme parks. Courtesy of Casiola, here are some of the activities available:

Easter at Universal Orlando™ is presented identically to how the resort handles another food- and family-centered holiday, none of the theme or water parks celebrate, but the resort’s hotels do.

With a variety of options, the Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Royal Pacific Resort, and Sapphire Falls Resort all offer “the perfect Easter brunch.” For your gastronomic satisfaction.

  • Hotel Trattoria del Porto in Portofino Bay
From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Portofino’s excellent restaurant will provide a carving station, chilled seafood display, salad and cheese bar, pasta station, and family-friendly entertainment with a live musician.

  • Hard Rock Hotel®: The Kitchen restaurant
This year’s “wonderful spread” will feature appetizers, salads, and a carving station and will be available from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Live music is presented as a type of entertainment.

  • Island Dining Room at the Royal Pacific Resort
From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Islands Dining Room is serving an all-you-can-eat buffet with a raw bar, sushi, and breakfast favorites. Traditional brunch classics get a Pan-Asian makeover in this Pan-Asian restaurant. A balloon artist, ukulele musician, and hula dancers will provide entertainment.

  • Sapphire Falls Resort: Amatista Cookhouse
Amatista Cookhouse serves an Easter Brunch which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the brunch includes an “island paradise’s” feast, including hickory-smoked fish, ceviche, and more. Universal Orlando characters, a face painter, and a balloonist will provide entertainment.
