The way that Disney World and Universal Orlando handle selling items from closed attractions is so totally different.
At Walt Disney World, when an attraction closes, you’ll often find the items at a few locations outside the normal theme parks where mostly only employees or ultra fans know to go. At Universal Studios, on the other hand, they’re literally selling the parts of Shrek 4D — which recently was closed — in stores across the theme park!

You see that giant red and blue shield? If you want to make the purchase, it was going for $600 earlier this week.
Ogre Vision Glasses, on the other hand, are going for five bucks a pop. Minus the sentimental value, they’re probably only worth about a quarter. But we won’t blame anyone for buying a piece of theme park history for just five dollars.
And if you want the pre-show podium, Universal will sell that one to you for just a measly $4,000. You’ll be the greatest small town business CEO when you haul this one into your Main Street office!
