Halloween is an exciting time in the Orlando theme park scene. There are many special events taking place throughout the theme park community, from Disney’s family friendly Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party to more horror-based events like Sea World’s Howl-O-Scream and, of course, Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Halloween Horror Nights has become something of a phenomenon in recent years, with the event boasting massive attendance numbers with long wait times posted for the ten themed haunted houses of the year. Many of these are IP-based. Last year we saw houses dedicated to Child’s Play, Stranger Things, The Last of Us, and more, along with a slew of original concepts.

This year, Halloween Horror Nights has announced houses for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, A Quiet Place, and Insidious: The Further.

Because of the long wait times, many opt to pay extra for Universal’s Express Pass system, which allows you to skip longer lines. But even then, with 10 houses, multiple scare zones, and a variety of specialty food offerings, it’s sometimes not possible to do everything in one night. That’s why Universal sells Frequent Fear Passes, which are essentially season passes for the event.

Like an annual pass to the parks, there are different tiers associated with different passes. Benefit differences include block out dates, access to express pass, and more.

Yesterday, Frequent Fear Passes went on sale with seven tiers.

These include:

  1. Rush of Fear
  2. Frequent Fear
  3. Frequent Fear Plus
  4. Ultimate Frequent Fear
  5. Frequent Fear with Express Pass
  6. Frequent Fear Plus with Express Pass
  7. Ultimate Frequent Fear with Express Pass

However, Frequent Fear with Express Pass, Frequent Fear Plus with Express Pass, and Ultimate Frequent Fear with Express Pass sold out on the first day.

Frequent Fear options are still available without Express Pass. This was confirmed through Universal Orlando’s official website.

While non Express Pass Frequent Fear passes are still available, last year saw all Frequent Fear levels sell out by September 29.
