Dragon Age: The Veilguard is officially being given away for free as part of PlayStation Plus’ March lineup, a move that cements its place as one of Electronic Arts’ biggest misfires in recent memory. This comes just four months after the game’s release, a clear sign that EA is desperate to salvage whatever engagement it can from a title that failed to resonate with its audience.

This is how you know it’s a massive flop. Meanwhile the Middle East is getting Warhammer Realms of Ruin instead, which is how you know it’s alphabet propaganda.

Bunny With A Keyboard

Genuine question: how would people feel about a woke DLC, where all the woke stuff for woke people gets put in as a DLC you don’t have to pay for and can choose not to install? The qualifier being that they HAVE to keep the woke garbage in the DLC.

This is a fantasy idealism scenario, but since companies read these sites, it makes me ponder. I can understand how playing as a bunny rabbit would be very niche, for example.

Mad Lemming

I will never understand what good “engagement” is with a product that’s already been rejected by customers. First impressions matter and Failguard blew it; there’s not going to be a No Man’s Sky redemption arc for this.

It is so tempting, but I think I’ll pass.

Even so, it’s too expensive
