Walt Disney World’s price hikes are an annual event. The company ups its prices every year, supposedly to account for inflation and rising costs. Disney recently rolled out its latest wave of wallet breaking increases, much to the chagrin of longtime fans who feel as though they’re being priced out.

These increases go well beyond the US national inflation rate of 2.4%.
One major way Disney is raising costs is through single day ticket pricing. Disney prices theme park admission based on demand. So, a day in January, for instance, would be a lot less than a ticket during the busy Christmas/New Years week at the end of the year. For the last year, Disney’s theme park admission prices ranged from $109-$189 per day, depending on the time of year.
Going forward, starting this holiday season, Walt Disney World theme park tickets will range from $119 to a whopping $199 for a single day.
The pricing differs park to park, with Animal Kingdom being the least expensive and Magic Kingdom being the most expensive.

Here’s how the new pricing system breaks down:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $119–$174
- EPCOT: $129–$194
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $139–$194
- Magic Kingdom: $144–$199
That means on select days, the Magic Kingdom will cost nearly $200 for a single day. It was within the last decade that Walt Disney World’s flagship theme park cost around $100 per day.

The high end price hike on Magic Kingdom tickets represents a 5.29% increase. If you look at the increase for the least expensive day at Animal Kingdom, it’s an increase of 9.17%.
It should be noted that the US national inflation rate as of the end of September 2024 was 2.4%. That means Disney is wildly inflating theme park pricing well beyond what’s normal for a US-based business.

But single day admission isn’t the only place where Disney has shot prices through the roof. Annual Passholders will also see a much larger dent in their wallets, with the cost of a Walt Disney World Incredi-pass going up by $100. This is the annual pass tier open to everyone. Florida residents have access to lower tiers that feature block out dates. However, those lower tiers are also seeing major price hikes.
Walt Disney World Annual Pass price changes break down as follows:
- Pixie Dust Pass: $469 (was $439) 6.8% Increase
- Pirate Pass: $829 (was $799) 3.75% Increase
- Sorcerer Pass: $1,079 (was $999) 8% Increase
- Incredi-Pass: $1,549 (was $1,449) 6.9% Increase

Of course, another area where Disney makes a lot of its money is food and beverage. And it should come as no surprise that this area will also see rising prices going forward.
Changes to character dining and buffet pricing went into effect yesterday, October 23, for both adults and children. It should be noted that in Disney Parks a “child” is defined as someone between the ages of 3-9 only. That means a 10 year-old is charged as a full adult for meals and admission.
