Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment revealed they had sold “millions” of copies of the game as part of a new post-launch overview that includes new Dark Angels cosmetics, a new Tyranid villain in the Hierophant Bio-Titan and more for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

The company announced in a new video, “On behalf of everyone at Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment, we want to extend a massive thank you to each and every one of you. It’s only been a few weeks since we’ve released Space Marine 2 and it’s been a thrill to see millions of you diving into the game. Your dedication has been incredible.”

The company also shared on the game’s Steam page that in its first major free update it will introduce the new Tyranid villain the Hierophant Bio-Titan that will be available in a new PvE Operation.
They also announced it will be introducing a new Lethal difficulty setting noting this difficulty “will test your skills against the most brutal Xenos and heretics.”
In order to aid you in mastering this difficulty setting, the Armory is providing marines with the Neo-Volkite pistol.

Along with the free content, it also revealed that Season Pass holders will get access to Dark Angels cosmetic options. The cosmetic options include new weapon skins for the auto bolt rifle, plasma pistol, and power sword.
It also will feature a Champion pack for the Bulwark class that includes a full body armor skin, a unique shield, and other cosmetic options.
Finally, they teased that future updates will include new operations, new PvP ranks, a new PvP game mode, new arena maps, new Tyranid and Thousand Suns enemies, a new Horde mode, and more Space Marine chapter cosmetics.

It’s unclear exactly how many copies the game has sold so far, but Focus Entertainment did announce back in September that the game had already sold 2 million units.

Furthermore, Saber Interactive’s Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits also shared back in September that the game was “the fastest selling game we’ve ever worked on, including all the Quake, DOOM, Wolfenstein, and RAGE games over the years.”

Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch also noted on LinkedIn that the game had “wildly surpassed our projections.”
In fact, he noted the game’s success helped land “two equity investors Aleph Capital Partners and Crestview Capital Partners” which he claims will “help Saber grow.”
