Warner Bros. has revealed plans for three Harry Potter-themed lands at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island. The project expands plans that Warner Bros. Discovery and Miral first announced in 2022.
The latest details emerged during the 2026 Back to Hogwarts Showcase on September 1. A teaser featuring the flying Ford Anglia from the Harry Potter films provided the first major preview of the expanded development.
Warner Bros. has scheduled another announcement for September 7. The official Harry Potter website says the names of the three lands will be revealed during that announcement.
The official Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi project page confirms that three Harry Potter-themed lands are planned. It does not yet provide a detailed attraction list or an official opening date.
Three Harry Potter Lands Planned
The Harry Potter Abu Dhabi project will add three themed lands to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. The existing indoor park opened in 2018 and contains six themed areas.
Those areas are Warner Bros. Plaza, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, Cartoon Junction, Gotham City and Metropolis. The Harry Potter development will add another major film property to the park.

The current project represents an expansion of the original plan. In November 2022, Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery announced a Harry Potter-themed land for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.
At the time, the companies described the land as significant in scale. They said it would bring locations from the Wizarding World to Yas Island but did not publish a complete attraction lineup.
The project is now described as three themed lands. The companies have not yet published a full breakdown of what attractions each land will contain.
Upcoming September 7 Reveal
The September 1 showcase offered a preview.
The teaser features the Ford Anglia, the enchanted car from the Harry Potter films. The vehicle flies toward Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi before the video announces three new themed lands and points viewers toward September 7.
The official Harry Potter website also says the three land names will be revealed on September 7.
Reports have connected the project with Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest. Those reports draw on information and clues surrounding the development, but the park’s official project page has not yet listed those as the formal names of the three lands.
Ford Anglia
The Ford Anglia provides potential clue to what Warner Bros Abu Dhabi might have planned..
The flying car appears in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Harry Potter and Ron Weasley use it while traveling to Hogwarts at the start of the school year. The vehicle later becomes involved in events in the Forbidden Forest.
Its appearance in the Abu Dhabi teaser has many fans to believe the Ford Anglia may get its first attraction. Considering none of the Universal Harry Potter attractions feature the flying car, this could provide a new experience for Harry Potter fans to anticipate.
Planning Documents
Earlier planning information provides further context about the Harry Potter Abu Dhabi development.
The National reported that planning documents suggested the project could include Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest. Those documents also indicated the possibility of approximately three original rides.

Planning documents can change as a development moves forward. They therefore do not necessarily represent the final attraction lineup.
It will also be the first Harry Potter-themed theme park project in the Middle East.
Upcoming Harry Potter Land
The announcement has led many fans to anticipate the September 7 reveal of the three lands to be planned for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.
It will be the first permanent Harry Potter theme park project outside the Universal Studios theme park network, as well as the first Harry Potter land in the Middle East.
