The newest animation movie hitting theaters from The Walt Disney Company is a three-generation tale of broken family connections.

Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Tangled… how many times has Disney gone to the old “Generational Trauma” storyline? It’s practically become a meme at this point. But there they go again with the new trailer for Strange World, a movie that is clearly aiming for a triple generational trauma tale. But in a move that some might interpret differently, Disney also appears to be quietly staying away from any topics or themes allegedly in the film which could be perceived as divisive or controversial in some areas of the world.

Check out the Strange World trailer coming from Disney Animation Studios this November. And if Strange World isn’t strange enough, also consider that Disney has scheduled this movie so that it will actually compete with Wakanda Forever during the holiday season. How strange is that?!

So what do you think of Strange World? Is it giving you Atlantis vibes, but in a good way? Or does it make you feel just a little bit concerned about Disney’s direction? Let us know in the comments below. And, as always, keep reading That Park Place for all the latest news that should be fun!
