It’s time to hope back into the international box office darling that is the Fast and Furious franchise. Can the speedy cars and their seedy drivers inject enough explosions and references to “family” to get theaters singing its praises once more?
Fast X is an upcoming American action film directed by Louis Leterrier and written by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau. It is the sequel to F9, serving as the tenth main installment, and the eleventh full-length film in the Fast & Furious franchise. With a release date of May 19th, it was high-time that the official trailer dropped. And so, on this Friday before Ant-Man Quantumania drops, the big thing on movie-goers’ radars is this big entry for a storied series of high-octane, high-action thrills.
The movie is also an opportunity to find out if Brie Larson is a viable big-time star outside of Marvel, even after MCU fans have soured to some degree. Can Fast X supercharge her career once more?
