There’s a metaphor here if you just pause for a moment. Guests aboard Splash Mountain didn’t have that luxury, however, as their experience literally sank.

The folks in charge of maintaining Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World have chosen an interesting path forward. Rather than keep the attraction in excellent condition and up to the standards of a Disney Park, someone somewhere has elected to let the attraction falter until the last day of operation. Frankly, based on the public’s reaction, we don’t think it’s a good idea to ever have a “last day” of operation for Splash Mountain. But that’s a decision that seems to have been set in stone. So it’s no surprise that boats aboard the attraction are also sinking like stones. Is the ride itself protesting its forthcoming closure and redo?

For the second time in a year, a Splash Mountain boat has played a game of Battleship and lost. Watch the video below to see the guests aboard the Zip-a-dee-doo-dah Waters trying to reach high ground!

Perhaps being zip-a-dee-doo-dah requires a bit of work to keep satisfactual?
