As we grow, we know we need to give you even more of all the news that should be fun.
You may notice some changes here at That Park Place today and over the next 48 hours. Fantastic work effort has been put forth by our administration team here at the site to bring you changes that we think will greatly improve your experience and the overall community of entertainment news. We really mean that!
Before listing out the changes for the site, we want to thank all of you for coming here daily and checking out our latest news that should be fun. Without you, we wouldn’t be here. This is your site. Without channels like Overlord DVD, Valliant Renegade, Geeks and Gamers, Midnight’s Edge, Force of Light, Echo Base Network, The Quartering, and more… people wouldn’t know what we’re up to here. And what we’re doing is presenting all angles and sides of the news that should be fun. We’re purposefully politically and ideologically neutral. We just want to bring you the fun!
We’re coming up on our one-year anniversary later in July and we’re happy to announce that we have reached a major milestone for the site. As our readership explodes, we’re adding the following new features:
- A new section is dedicated to articles from other websites that are covering topics we think are important but we may not be able to feature here otherwise. We may not always agree with the content in the articles we show there, but we will always put articles in that we think provide insight into the world of entertainment. Again, we want to give all sides of the news that should be fun.
- Each day, we’re now featuring a spotlight video at the bottom on the page. It may be a new teaser trailer, it may be a YouTube channel video, it could be a game session live stream. Whatever the case, we’re not only here to freely promote other entertainment news websites (seriously, who else does this?), but we’re also here to freely promote YouTubers we think deserve the spot. And we’ll never, ever take a dime for doing this. You can trust we’re bringing you what our leadership team really thinks is important.
- We have streamlined mobile experiences on the site. It may mostly look the same, but there’s plenty going on behind the scenes to make sure our mobile readers have the very best experience possible.
- Articles with audio features have been tested for the past few weeks and we’re confident those are loved by our readers as well. We have no plans of doing a YouTube channel as we have no desire to compete with the hard working commentators out there that enjoy our content. But audio articles give us a way to let you hear our writers’ voices from time to time, especially when it’s a better media format for long-form issues.
- And of course, we’ve prettied up everything. We really like our theme, but we want it to look the best it can.
If you have any suggestions for the site, feel free to share your thoughts down in the comments below. You know we really do read them. You’ll also see more changes coming. We plan to work out a few bugs… ads showing in our comment section, an issue where some articles on some computer resolutions will squish horizontally. We’ll also be making it easier for you to share articles you like with your friends.
Thank you so much for reading That Park Place and contributing in the comment sections. It means the world to us. And a special thanks to Dr. Michael Sturgeon for his hard work on assisting with programming in the background of the site that ensures we continue to climb faster and faster. To all of you who come to this happy place, let’s keep the news fun!

Thank you for the good content.
Your site is awesome. I read it everyday. However I think you should move the AdSense away from the top of the page. Today the first thing I see is a blue dumpster.
I’ll forward that to our design team. Thank you for the suggestion!
