Is KPop Demon Hunters a girl boss movie? Well, yes, and also no. Certainly not in the way that's been infuriating movie goers for years. 

The Honmoon has sealed. Sony's KPop Demon Hunters is breaking records in the United States and South Korea. But why?

Defenders of recent girl boss movies have said that their poor performances are due to people simply not approving of a girl-boss trope. However, Huntrix's trio have simply slain this opinion, along with a few demons, proving that audiences do enjoy a good girl boss story.

So what makes this breakout Netflix movie a success with audiences where other heroine-centered stories fall flat? It all comes down to relatable, well-written characters.
