Today’s headline might be clickbait, but not for the reason you would expect. No, the reason it is a little on the misleading side is because there are not one, but two, tweets that have to win the prize for absolute worst takes on the Will Smith Oscars fiasco…
Here they are:
#WillSmith wins #BestActor
He is still clearly very shaken by what was said about Jada,
his choice to stand up for her
& the abuse that goes on today of public figures, people of color & more.
He will surely speak on this more all week, as will others.#Oscars pic.twitter.com/Iy5rHuoW5f

Yes, Grace, a man striking a comedian over a joke that started by telling the target that he “loves her” is a great way to stand up against abuse. Maybe Chris Rock went over the line, maybe he did not, but Grace Randolph apparently thinks that physical violence against a “person of color” is just fine.
Will Smith is shaken, everyone. Oh, he’s so emotional and shaken. It’s like taking the side of the kid who just punched another kid for telling a “your momma’s so fat” joke. That joke was violence!
Crappy hot takes like that are what lead to our other award-winner:
And That’s How We Do It
— Jaden (@jaden) March 28, 2022
That’s how “we” do it, everyone. We physically assault someone when we are offended. As of publication, 725,000 people have liked that comment.
I’m sure this is all great for our society and the demographics that are most impressionable. Because “that’s how we do it,” right?
Perhaps this award mutually shared by Jaden Smith and Grace Randolph should be called the “Failed to Grow Up Award”…
Ewwww… *gag*
