What began as a controversial series of statements about race and national identity in the tabletop RPG GiantLands has now escalated into a full-scale public meltdown by the game’s creator. Wonderfilled founder, a man credited on line as Stephen E. Dinehart IV, took to X with an angry, politically charged diatribe in which he attacked his own fanbase, blamed political opponents, and claimed that once again “in the future there will be no White people.”

Dinehart’s comments come in the wake of earlier backlash after Wonderfilled declared that the world of GiantLands is set in a future where the USA and White people don’t exist. That statement—already highly controversial—was made worse by the claim that the late James M. Ward, who passed away in March 2024, had supported the premise. Now, Dinehart has doubled down with even more inflammatory rhetoric.

Attacking Customers and Declaring Ideological Purity

In multiple posts, Dinehart described all Trump supporters as “Trumpzis.” In his video, the Wonderfilled founder accused the original TSR—publisher of Dungeons & Dragons—of becoming “a magnet” for them. He claimed his personal heritage as Hispanic and Native American made him a target for hate and said he never intended his work to appeal to conservatives or traditional RPG fans.

He described the fanbade as, “These bigots who thought Giantlands and Wonderfilled are for them. When in effect isn’t.”

“My business has been in ruins for two years now,” he admitted. “I don’t think I’ve sold a game. And that’s alright. I don’t want to sell to these people.”

He further accused the GOP of “stealing elections” and “destroying public education,” tying the fall of his company to broader political trends.

Dismissing Race While Making Racial Threats

Despite earlier claims that GiantLands was intentionally created without White people, Dinehart insisted in one post that race itself is a myth.

“In the future there will be no White people, he said. “Because White people never existed. Color is an illusion. Race is a lie. That’s why there is no race in Giantlands.”

However, on the same platform, he also made a far more disturbing statement when responding to a White person upset at his comments.

“You’ll just be bred out of existence,” he said. “We’re not like you, we’ll just eliminate your seed from this earth.”

The comment—made in public view—has intensified calls for accountability, with many accusing Dinehart of racial hostility and explicit bigotry.

Rejecting the Audience

Dinehart announced he is no longer interested in making games, stating that his career became a “flashpoint of hate” that “destroyed much of [his] life.” He described himself as having been “canceled” by both sides of the internet, and rejected the original TSR legacy as “White boy fantasy.”

“I wanted to make a game where people like me were seen,” he said.

“I don’t need your business,” he went on. “You don’t give me any business anyway. So I ask you to please find your own way and have a good day.”

With Dinehart disavowing his customer base, stepping away from game design, and espousing openly hostile views, it remains unclear whether the game or the Wonderfilled brand has any future at all.
