Amy-Leigh Shaw, who worked on Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, attempted to defend the game from criticism from IGN that lampooned the game for wasting Kevin Conroy’s Batman.

Shaw responded to an article from IGN written by Jesse Schedeen who declared, “The hero gamers have spent dozens, if not hundreds, of hours playing as is treated as little more than a disposable plot device. All the potential left on the table with Arkham Knight is wasted for the sake of a cheap laugh.”

She wrote on X, “Kevin was our teammate and many of us worked with him directly for years. I would expect games journalists to know that, and understand how callous it is to use his memory to stoke hatred. We do not need strangers to tell us what he would have thought. He told us himself.”

Endymion first shared that he agrees with Schedeen, “I’m surprised I’m sitting here agreeing with a modern gaming journalism article, but it’s true. He was wasted. The entire game was wasted.”

Next, Endymion addressed Shaw’s defense of the game saying, “Of course, Amy tries to take the moral high ground here, but the truth is that the damage is done and what her and the team over at Sweet Baby has done to Suicide Squad not to mention other game like Spider-Man 2 and more. Everything they touch lessens and cheapens the stories and characters within them. It’s gotten so bad that the name Sweet Baby is all but considered a taboo term. It’s just as bad as when customers label a product as woke now.”

“Now, openly stating your game has any relations to Sweet Baby has become code for people to avoid that product entirely like the plague because chances are whatever your game is, if Sweet Baby is involved, it’ll be ruined and made into a pandering mess to some capacity,” he added.

Endymion also addressed Shaw celebrating the fact she was part of the story team for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Shaw shared on X, “Congratulations to all the gorgeous people I worked alongside to get to this launch day. I really can’t understate the amount of talent, passion and love that was put in.”

Endymion reacted, “While they’re allowed to proud of their work it’s also within the millions of fans’ rights to reject what she and her colleagues have done has ruined an entire universe and Doomday Legacy Studio to extinction. Sure, you got to pander and gained some ESG points, but the truth is that your actions have ruined an entire franchise for nothing but your own virtue signaling needs.”

He then lampooned Shaw, “It now makes sense why biographies for characters like Green Lantern are so terrible because they’ve been written and overseen by liberal white women who believe it’s their moral duty to be saviors and inject as much political jargon as possible into everything that they do.”

“Fans hated those character biographies and it’s clear that what Amy Shaw and the rest of Sweet Baby has done to Suicide Squad is exactly what people do not want when it comes to their video games,” he continued.
