Warhammer 40k novelist James Swallow confirmed he included “gender transition” propaganda into his Sisters of Battle story “Iron & Bone.”

As reported by X user Chainsword40k, Swallow confirmed he inserted “gender transition” propaganda back in December 2023 to his Sisters of Battle story “Iron & Bone” that was published in Black Library’s Sisters of Battle Collection.
An excerpt from the short story states, “‘You know my name?’ Had she mentioned it to Telfer after they disembarked from the warp ship that had brought her to this system? Verity searched her memory, but she couldn’t recall. ‘You told me,’ said the pilot. ‘Remember?’ He grinned. ‘A good name, good name. I once knew someone who took it when they transitioned. It’s in the Book of Heroes, so it is.'”

On December 10, 2023, Swallow confirmed this was a reference to “gender transition.” He wrote, “Hi! The referenced scene is from my Sisters of Battle story “Iron & Bone” not my novel “Faith & Fire”; Telfer (the pilot) is telling Verity (Sister Hospitaller & war hero) about his friend (a regular Imperial citizen) who took the same name after they underwent gender transition.”

Swallow is not the only one to include woke propaganda in Warhammer 40k novels and stories. Chainsword40k previously reported that author Mike Brooks allegedly included non-binary characters in Brutal Kunnin, a transgender Drukhari in Da Big Dakka, characters that believe in the God Empress instead of the Emperor in Wanted: Dead, gender identity ideology and pronouns in Lion: Sons of the Forest, and woke pronouns in Rites of Passage.

Brooks also noted that Ork faction the Freebooterz “support Pride, Trans Rights, and Black Lives Matter” in August 2020.

All of this has been dug up in the wake of Games Workshop retconning the Adeptus Custodes by including a female Custodian in their latest Codex: Adeptus Custodes. Not only did Games Workshop retcon the Adeptus Custodes, but they gaslit hobbyists by claiming there had always been female Custodes.
An excerpt from the Codex states, “Custodian Calladayce Taorvalia Kesh stood upon the bridge of a Cobra-class destroyer. Named Vigilant Flame, the warship belonged to the mighty Battlefleet Solar. She lingered in the shadows at the back of the bridge, positioned at a spot where she could observe the actions of every crew member be they in the instrumentation pits, at the armament shrines or — in the case of Shipmaster Lethwyck — stood ramrod straight before his command throne.”

The official Warhammer account then gaslit fans, “Since the first of the Ten Thousand were created, there have always been female Custodians.”

As noted by former World of Warcraft Team Lead Mark Kern the Rogue Trader rules in 1987 stated, “The Adeptus Custodes is the Emperor’s inner guard, the members of which are privileged in being permitted to serve upon the Emperor, attending to his needs, receiving and recording his directions. These men never leave Earth and only rarely leave the Imperial Palace – an endless, black hive of forbidden technology and subterranean passages delving deep within the bowels of the planet.”

He also shared excerpts from the 2017 and 2018 Adeptus Custodes Codexes that refer to them as the Brotherhood of Demigods and make it clear they were recruited from the sons of nobles.
One excerpt reads, “It is known that all Custodians begin their lives as the infant sons of the noble houses of Terra. It is a mark of incredible prestige to surrender one’s child to this most glorious of callings within the Imperium, and many notable clans amongst the Terran aristocracy have willingly given up almost entire generations of newborn sons to earn it.”
In the 7th and 8th edition of the official Custodes codexes, they are repeatedly referred to as the BROTHERHOOD of Demigods, recruited from the SONS of nobles.

Gender transition ideology and propaganda is evil. Archbishop Sample of the Archdiocese of Portland recalled a conversation he had with Pope Francis, “He said, ‘This is a direct assault on God Himself. It’s the ultimate rejection of God. That we don’t need God, we don’t need to accept God, we don’t need to accept our individuality, we don’t need to accept how God has made us. We just cast God aside and I will define myself.’”
He later added, “This ideology that’s in the culture today, now, that there’s no such thing as a binary gender, there’s multiple genders that we can define, nobody’s one or the other, we’re just in this gender fluidity. So that young people growing up are indoctrinated into this ideology. And this is what Pope Francis goes off after. It’s a terrible thing what’s happening.”

Star Wars did the same thing after the Disney purchase, which is why, even if they manage to fix the film and TV Star Wars, I will never, ever consider those novels canon. The sooner they slap “New Legends” on that crap, the better.
