As reported by Fandom Pulse, during a recent episode of his Nerdrotic Nooner show with his guest host Chris Gore, Buechler shared, “By the way, I just want to point out… I’m not making any issue of this. I just want to make it clear, no issue right now.  But my press pass got pulled. But it might be, it might be because I filled something out wrong. So it might be my fault. Just want to say, but it got yanked.”

When asked by Gore for clarification that the press pass was for San Diego Comic-Con, Buechler responded, “Yeah. Trying to fix it. We’re trying to fix it.”

Gore went on to detail that WonderCon, which is operated by the same company that puts on San Diego Comic-Con, Comic-Con International, rejected three panels he submitted for the show.

He explained, “I submitted three panels to WonderCon, which were rejected, including one we just do that’s sort of innocuous, The Independent Film Survival Guide. When we did that [at] LA Comic Con … it was packed. We had a giant line of people asking questions. And people genuinely just trying to help filmmakers. Like, ‘Hey, do this. Here’s how this works. There’s a cheap way to do this.’ … Even that was rejected.”

Gore did inform Buechler, “I have been invited to submit panels for San Diego so if the press badge doesn’t work out, you could be Jerry. You could come up with a completely different name for your badge.”

Buechler’s press pass being “yanked” comes in the wake of Anna aka ThatStarWarsGirl noting that C2E2 revoked her press pass. She shared on X on April 4th, “Got the email; C2E2 canceled my press pass. It’s on.”

In a response to fellow YouTuber ThatUmbrellaGuy, she confirmed that she had previously been approved for a press pass, but it was subsequently put “under review” and then cancelled.

She wrote on X, “They had previously approved it, then put it ‘under review’ when they found out I was friends with Jon, Shane & Ethan. It’s total BS.”

In another response to comic book creator Michael Bancroft, Anna revealed the press pass was revoked because she was not “‘diverse’ enough.”

Buechler reacted to ThatStarWarsGirls’ press pass being revoked during a Q&A live stream session stating, “That’s f***ed up. I don’t think anybody should be banned from a comic con. I think if anybody wants to go, they should go. … I don’t know what’s behind it, but it’s f***ed up. They should be allowed to go to a con.”

He also provided an update on his San Diego Comic-Con press pass being yanked, “I lost my press pass to San Diego. Now, I’m not making an issue of it because I need to find out if it’s like something I filled out wrong… and I can verify that, like, because I know somebody. So, I can verify if that’s exactly what happened… and even if they did, I don’t know if I’d make an issue of it. I don’t know if I’d give a f***.”

“As of now, I had a press pass to WonderCon and Comic-Con, which are the same ones, and I don’t anymore,” he added.
