ABC’s The View erupted into a heated on-air argument Tuesday after co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin attacked the TrumpRX prescription drug initiative while co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines defended efforts to lower medication costs for struggling Americans.
The exchange began after the show played a clip of President Donald Trump appearing alongside businessman Mark Cuban to promote TrumpRX, a marketplace focused on discounted prescription medications.
ABC News co-host Joy Behar claims “we’re all going to die” because Trump wants to lower drug prices with TrumpRX. She even lashes out at Mark Cuban for getting involved.

Behar immediately lashed out at Cuban for participating in the effort.
“First of all, you lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas,” Behar said.
Hostin quickly agreed, shouting, “Correct! Correct!”
The segment only escalated from there.
Joy Behar Declares “We’re All Going to Die”
During the discussion, Behar mocked the program and appeared to suggest Americans should distrust it simply because Trump’s name was attached to the initiative.
“And I like Mark Cuban. I’ve always liked him but this is a mistake and once Trump puts his name on prescriptions we’re all going to die!” Behar exclaimed.
Notably, neither Behar nor Hostin provided evidence that the medications offered through TrumpRX were unsafe or altered in any way.
That point became central to the argument as Alyssa Farah Griffin attempted to explain that TrumpRX was functioning as a marketplace for existing prescription drugs, not newly created “Trump-branded” medication.
“The drugs don’t actually have his name. They’re existing drugs,” Griffin responded. “It’s a marketplace for them.”

Griffin then revealed that one of her IVF medications was dramatically cheaper through the service.
“A medication I had to take for IVF is a tenth of the price on TrumpRX,” the View co-host said.
She also highlighted the growing financial pressure many Americans face when attempting to afford prescription drugs.

“The average family, one third of American families cut back on essential food and utilities to be able to cover their prescription drug costs,” Griffin argued. “You’re not going to convince me that just because Trump’s involved we should be like ‘screw it, don’t bring down prescription drug costs.’”
That argument was met with immediate resistance from Behar and Hostin.
“If he’s going to take a profit out of it, don’t take it!” Behar insisted, despite the fact that some of these drugs might be life-savers for struggling Americans.
Hostin backed her up, saying, “Correct! I completely agree with that!”
Sunny Hostin Suggests TrumpRX Could Have “Short Cuts Involved”
As the conversation intensified, Hostin repeatedly questioned Trump’s motives while implying the program itself could not be trusted.
“This is not a well-intentioned person!” Hostin said.
Later in the segment, Sara Haines attempted to redirect the discussion back toward the practical impact lower prescription costs could have for Americans struggling financially.
“What this does is it helps American people,” Haines argued.

Hostin responded by claiming Trump was only involved to enrich himself.
“He is not doing this out of the goodness of his heart! He’s doing this to make money!” she shouted.
The most controversial moment came when Hostin appeared to imply the medications themselves could be compromised.
“There could be short cuts involved,” she warned.
Again, no evidence was presented suggesting the prescriptions offered through TrumpRX were unsafe, counterfeit, or improperly regulated. The service is a marketplace for existing prescription medications and has nothing to do with actual production or development of pharmaceuticals.
Heated Clash Breaks Out Between Co-Hosts
The discussion devolved further as Haines defended the idea of lowering prescription costs regardless of politics.
“The people literally suffering illnesses and cannot pay for their medicine, I can’t think of a sicker business model!” Haines said. “Bring down the prices and if you get results on this, call it Donald Trump medicine!”
Behar and Hostin then turned their frustration toward Griffin and Haines personally.
“You are so naïve, the two of you, wow!” Behar snapped.
Hostin echoed, “The two of you are so naïve!”

The exchange reached another flashpoint when Griffin again stressed that the program was real and actively lowering costs.
“Today, I can literally order a prescription drug I need for a tenth of the cost because of this,” Griffin explained.
Behar dismissed the claim outright.
“Don’t believe anything he says Alyssa!” she replied.
Griffin fired back while pointing toward the program’s website displayed behind them on-screen.
“It’s real! Go and literally look it up! It is right there,” she insisted. Behar did not immediately do so.
The segment quickly sparked backlash online, with critics accusing Behar and Hostin of allowing partisan hostility toward Trump to overshadow a broader discussion about rising prescription drug costs and affordability for working Americans who may require certain prescriptions to save their lives.
