The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour is currently visiting SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium in Orlando. The experience kicked off on February 13, 2026 and will run through April 30, 2026. The aquarium tour is part of a larger series of events at aquariums across the United States in 2026.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour is an official collaboration between Nintendo and participating aquarium organizations. The 2026 version of the tour brings elements inspired by the Animal Crossing game to multiple Sea Life locations across the U.S., including Orlando.

What to Expect

Visitors can participate in a Stamp Rally, where they collect themed stamps by visiting designated character locations inside the aquarium. Additionally, Nintendo Account holders may be able to use kiosks at participating aquariums to receive My Nintendo Platinum Points as part of their visit.

Guests can also take pictures with character standees spread through the aquarium, or read more about the aquarium’s inhabitants with references to characters in the game.

The event includes scheduled opportunities for meet-and-greet appearances with costumed versions of Animal Crossing characters such as Isabelle, Tom Nook, and K.K. Slider. These appearances are expected on select weekends during the tour’s run. For Orlando stop in the tour, possible dates include:

  • Feb. 13-15, 2026
  • March 20-22, 2026
  • April 3-5, 2026

At SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium, the event is included with standard aquarium admission; visitors do not need to purchase a separate ticket beyond regular entry to participate in the Animal Crossing portion of the experience.

Context

The Orlando stop marks the first time the U.S. leg of the Animal Crossing aquarium tour has visited Florida. Other participating aquariums across the country include Sea Life locations in states such as California, Texas, New Jersey, Michigan, Minnesota, Arizona, North Carolina, and Missouri.

Background on Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a life simulation game released in March 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. In the game, players develop and customize a deserted island community populated by anthropomorphic animal characters. The title includes activities such as fishing, catching insects, and collecting sea creatures.

Aquatic life plays a central role in gameplay. Players donate fish and marine species to a virtual museum curated by the owl character Blathers. That connection between marine education and in-game collecting forms the basis for the aquarium collaboration. Nintendo has reported that the game sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling titles on the Nintendo Switch platform.

For visitors planning trips to Orlando, the aquarium tour runs concurrently with other regional attractions throughout the spring of 2026.
