Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Opening Date Announced

Disney has announced the opening date for its new Lakeshore Lodge Resort at Walt Disney World. The new hotel will welcome guests beginning July 1, 2027, along the shores of Bay Lake in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. The company also provided additional details about the resort’s accommodations, dining locations, recreation areas and transportation options.

Lakeshore Lodge will add 967 guest rooms to Walt Disney World. The accommodations will include studios, villas, a presidential suite and waterfront Lake Houses.

Regular Rooms

The regular accommodations at Lakeshore Lodge will include duo studios, deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and three-bedroom grand villas.

The duo studios will accommodate up to two guests. Their design will draw inspiration from Disney Animation’s Encanto, with colorful details reflecting the film.

Deluxe studios will sleep up to four guests. Their design will draw inspiration from Bambi, with natural materials, original concept artwork and woodland-inspired details.

The one- and two-bedroom villas will also draw inspiration from Bambi. They will sleep up to five and nine guests, respectively.

The villas will include full kitchens, washers and dryers, private patios, and separate living and dining areas. Their designs will incorporate soft earth tones, forest motifs and artwork inspired by the film’s natural landscapes.

Three-bedroom grand villas will celebrate the artistry of Disney Animation’s Fantasia. Each villa will sleep up to 12 guests and include multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen and a private patio with Bay Lake views.

Elevated Rooms

Lakeshore Lodge will also offer resort studios, resort studio king rooms and the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite as elevated accommodations.

The resort studios will sleep up to four guests, while the resort studio king rooms will sleep up to two. Both room types will draw inspiration from Disney Animation’s Pocahontas, with earthy colors and artwork from Disney’s archives reflecting the film’s landscapes.

The Hidden Willow Presidential Suite will sleep up to six guests. It will include two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen and a washer and dryer.

Guests staying in select club-level resort rooms will have access to The Artist’s Nest. This concierge lounge will provide complimentary refreshments as well as the perfect spot to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Lake Houses

The resort will also introduce Lake Houses. These freestanding, A-frame buildings will feature ceiling-to-floor windows overlooking Bay Lake

One-bedroom Lake Houses will sleep up to five guests. Two-bedroom Lake Houses will accommodate up to eight guests. Each will include a private porch, full kitchen, washer and dryer, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Lake House interiors will feature artwork inspired by Brother Bear. Disney also plans a Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature in the primary bedroom.

Pools and a Lazy River are Planned

Lakeshore Lodge will feature an outdoor recreation area called The Wetlands. The area will include Lakeshore Lagoon, Daydream River, Cypress Point, Heron Shores and Otter Springs.

Lakeshore Lagoon will have a zero-entry pool and spiral waterslide. Daydream River will offer a lazy river through The Wetlands.

Cypress Point will include a leisure pool and whirlpool spa. Heron Shores will provide a dry play area with climbing features.

Otter Springs will include interactive water features for younger children. Disney says the recreation areas will incorporate nature-based designs and Disney storytelling.

The resort will also offer several outdoor activities. Planned options include bike rentals, campfire activities, fishing excursions, jogging trails, movies under the stars and playgrounds.

Dining Options Will Include Three Main Venues

Disney has announced three primary dining locations at Lakeshore Lodge.

Moonglade will be a table-service restaurant with views of Bay Lake. Bay Lake Provisions will operate as an all-day marketplace with meals, snacks, specialty coffees and beverages.

Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will provide casual dining near the pool area. Disney describes the venue as an open-air restaurant overlooking Bay Lake.

Dandelion Terrace will serve as a lounge at the resort. The location will offer views of Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant.

Disney also says Dandelion Terrace will include a two-story gallery featuring archival artwork from Disney films.

Lakeshore Lodge Will Offer Transportation to Magic Kingdom

Guests staying at Lakeshore Lodge will have access to water transportation to Magic Kingdom. The resort will also provide bus transportation to other Walt Disney World destinations.

The property will operate as part of the Disney Resorts Collection. It will be located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area along Bay Lake.

Its location will place the resort near several existing Disney hotels and Magic Kingdom. Disney has incorporated its waterfront setting into the resort’s accommodation and recreation plans.

Reservations Begin in October 2026

Guests will be able to book stays at Lakeshore Lodge before the resort opens in July 2027.

Disney Vacation Club members can make rental reservations beginning October 6, 2026. DVC members can contact member services at (800) 800-9800.

Annual Passholders can begin booking on October 7 by calling (407) 934-7639. Reservations will open to all other guests on October 8, 2026. Disney says general guests will be able to book online or by phone beginning that day.

The staged reservation dates give guests several months to make plans before the resort opens.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Opening July 1, 2027

The confirmed Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opening date is July 1, 2027. The resort will have 967 guest rooms and a range of accommodations designed for different group sizes.

Its plans also include multiple pools, a lazy river, children’s recreation areas, dining venues and transportation to Magic Kingdom.

The resort will add another lodging option to the Bay Lake area when it opens.
