An insider source has revealed to That Park Place when we can expect to see Ahsoka Season 2 hit Disney+ along with the internal reasons why Lucasfilm chose that specific time period.
To date, the Ahsoka Season 2 launch remains unscheduled, but our confidential industry sources say the show is tracking for a late‑fall to winter 2026 release. Please bare in mind that this can change depending on delays and leadership shifts at Lucasfilm.
If Disney is counting on Ahsoka to be the big Disney+ driver for late 2026, consider me skeptical.

This timing aligns with what several outlets are reporting. Screen Rant and Youtini say filming and seasonal effects indicate a 2026 release, likely in fall or winter. A speculative post on r/StarWarsLeaks even pegs “Autumn/Winter 2026” for Ahsoka Season 2, while other websites note that production pacing suggests a post‑May 2026 release, possibly during summer, but leans toward later 2026.

Moreover, Forbes reported that Season 2 is expected to air roughly three months after the anticipated May 2026 Mandalorian & Grogu film release that lines up squarely with Fall 2026.
Again according to our sources whom we are protecting by not releasing their identities, the scheduling of Ahsoka Season 2 is designed to achieve two particular goes.
First, Alan Horn allegedly doesn’t want the show to release prior to The Mandalorian and Grogu in order to protect the film from any risk of a poorly-received Disney+ show. Second, however, Lucasfilm may be working toward having the second season carry on story points from The Mandalorian and Grogu into the show for continuity and building of fan interest. We have heard that Mando may turn into a trilogy and Ahsoka could join him during the movies… but it all depends on how the first Star Wars film since 2019 fares at the box office.

A recently surfaced agency listing confirms four directors at the helm of Ahsoka Season 2, including series stalwarts Dave Filoni and Jennifer Getzinger, along with newcomers Bryce Dallas Howard and Anders Engström.
Filoni previously directed “Master and Apprentice” (Part 1) and “Shadow Warrior” (Part 5), while Getzinger handled “Far, Far Away” (Part 6). Howard is stepping into the Ahsoka universe after directing on The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Skeleton Crew. Engström, best known for his work on Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Apple TV+’s See, marks his Star Wars directorial debut here. According to one listing, Getzinger and Engström are assigned to episodes 2, 3, and 7.
It remains to be seen if others will be added to the directing roster.

The season’s creative lead remains consistent. Ahsoka Season 2 is being produced by Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, John Bartnicki, and Carrie Beck, with all episodes penned by Filoni.
So there you have it. Thrawn, Ahsoka and all the Filoni gang will reportedly be back in late 2026. Let us know in the comments if you’ll be watching Ahsoka season 2.

The guy they got to play Sabine is a really good match. They should have put the They/Them who played Thrawn on a diet.
Alright, at least youtubers will be getting more out of what is sure to be an abysmal show that I’m sure will be chock full of “owning the chuds” moments and sentiments. Just cancel disney plus already.
The reason for this abomination is Filoni. Ahsoka is his OC and he would never let that Mary Sue die.
