Figment Popcorn Buckets are back! After having run out due to incredible (peculiar?) demand, the containers in the image of Epcot’s mascot are back at the Festival of the Arts. This time, however, it looks like Disney World management have caught onto the problem of a two-hour+ wait time and have devised a plan to keep people out of a queue for popcorn buckets. After all, it’s much better if those guests are out there spending money instead of standing in line, right?
Well, to fix things this go-around, Disney has switched up the way people buy the Figment buckets. Now, you simply go to the My Disney Experience app and mobile order the bucket, then go pick it up when it’s ready at the kiosk. Much easier, but probably makes for far less headlines or jaw-dropping photographs. You may recall that demand for this particular product had resulted in six-hour wait times in January. Not to mention the buckets were selling for over a thousand dollars on eBay. Thankfully, that price has come down as of late.
We’ll have to wait to see if the Figment Spork is being included now — it was originally not part of the package but had to be added on as Disney couldn’t keep up the popcorn with the demand.
If Disney is reading this article (and we know you are), there’s no better way to say you’re ready to get started on a new Journey into Imagination than to release a new Figment Popcorn Bucket with Dreamfinder at some point in the future. People love their buckets.
