That Park Place and its writers are following the latest rumors about Kathleen Kennedy and her potential “contract extension” with The Walt Disney Company. At this time, we cannot verify a three-year extension has been provided to Kathleen Kennedy, although we do strongly believe she received an extension in October. Kennedy may have received a much shorter extension than the three-year extension being rumored today. At this time, we also cannot find a concrete piece of evidence for the extension duration — however, this may force The Walt Disney Company’s hand in making a statement.
That Park Place would also like to mention that it does seem some websites have been taking information provided by That Park Place and running it without proper crediting. That Park Place exclusively reported on Kathleen Kennedy having been, allegedly, secretly extended in her position at Lucasfilm. That article was published more than two weeks ago. It is our third-most viewed article, discovered by tens of thousands of persons via Overlord DVD; it’s not as if it is obscure.

- It seems the rumors started with a post from Matthew Belloni, formerly of The Hollywood Reporter. The blog deals with why Patty Jenkins all-but-left Rogue Squadron.
- That then appears to have been fodder for an article on Jo Blo.
- Around the same time, Inside the Magic posted an article about Kathleen Kennedy being secretly extended in her contract. No reference is made to That Park Place, and no other source is provided other than a reference to her position being still listed as “president” on the Lucasfilm webiste.
- Grace Randolph tweeted about the rumor, casting it in doubt and waiting to hear from the trade publications.
Just like #ChloeZhao directing a #StarWars movie after #Eternals#KathleenKennedy getting another 3 years seems to make no sense – so I'd need a trade to confirm to believe these rumors.
Also, I hear Kennedy didn't like #WonderWoman1984 so her & Jenkins parting ways is mutual.
