Magic Kingdom reservations for July 4 are no longer available to Annual Passholders, according to Walt Disney World’s online reservation calendar.
The change comes ahead of one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year. Independence Day has historically drawn large crowds to Walt Disney World, with many guests choosing to spend July 4 at Magic Kingdom.
At this time, reservation availability remained open for EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Strong Holiday Driving Reservation Availability
July 4 is traditionally one of the busiest days at Walt Disney World. Magic Kingdom often sees increased attendance during the holiday because of its special Independence Day entertainment offerings. However, in recent years, July 4th crowds at the Magic Kingdom have been noticeably smaller than normal. This year, however, it seems as though there may be a resurgence of crowds at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
This year’s holiday may attract additional interest because 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Celebrations, including special treats, are across the four Disney World parks.

Disney uses separate reservation allotments for different guest groups. As a result, Magic Kingdom July 4 reservations for Annual Passholders can become unavailable even when other ticket categories still have access.
Still Trying to Celebrate at Magic Kingdom
Many Annual Passholders may enter a Walt Disney World theme park after 2 p.m. without a reservation on certain days.
However, that benefit does not apply at Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays. Because July 4, 2026, falls on a Saturday, passholders without a reservation cannot rely on the afternoon-entry exception.
Some passholders may still have another way to visit Magic Kingdom on July 4. Eligible guests can begin their day at another Walt Disney World theme park and later hop to Magic Kingdom. Disney allows park hopping for Annual Passholders and eligible ticket holders.

However, Disney notes that admission remains subject to capacity limitations. Entry is not guaranteed if a park reaches its attendance threshold.
Guests considering that option should keep those restrictions in mind when planning their day.
Special Entertainment and Treats Planned for July 4
Guests visiting Magic Kingdom during the holiday weekend will find special entertainment and limited-time food offerings in addition to the park’s regular attractions. Disney has scheduled Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky at 9 p.m. on July 3, 4, and 5, replacing the regularly scheduled Happily Ever After fireworks on those evenings.
Disney has also announced a selection of patriotic-themed treats for the holiday period. Offerings include a Berry Shortcake at Columbia Harbour House, along with specialty funnel cakes, waffles, and frozen beverages at Sleepy Hollow.

Magic Kingdom will remain open until midnight on July 4. Disney has also historically offered additional holiday entertainment, including DJ dance parties in select areas of the park. Entertainment schedules and menu offerings remain subject to change.
What Guests Should Know Before the Holiday Weekend
The current reservation status reflects strong demand for Magic Kingdom during the Independence Day holiday period.
While Annual Passholder reservations for July 4 are unavailable at this time, Disney’s reservation system remains subject to change. Guests planning a holiday visit should continue checking official reservation channels and review the latest park policies before arriving.
