Marvel Rivals has dethroned Overwatch in popularity as appealing character designs and a lack of forced identity politics attract more and more players. The world of PVP gaming has seen players leaving Overwatch for Marvel Rivals in droves.
For years, Overwatch has been the go-to game for many PVP players seeking to play as superheroes. The characters and their varying abilities appealed to different play-styles, adding to the game’s overall entertainment and marketing success. However, Overwatch 2 derailed that appeal with flawed character designs and DEI insertions.

Marvel Rivals, on the other hand, has done the opposite of Overwatch 2.
The developers of Marvel Rivals have kept players engaged with intriguing gameplay and attractive characters.

For instance, the evil version of Invisible Woman, Malice, has been making the rounds on social media because of her evocative attire. Many tourists are complaining about this character skin, claiming it’s for “gooners” and “the male gaze.” What most critics don’t know is that this costume is actually straight from the comics! This, in turn, has brought in many comic fans who are excited to see their favorite characters given respectful, lore-accurate designs free of the chains of political correctness.
As a result, Marvel Rivals’ success has been Overwatch’s bane. According to a recent article by Dexerto, the streaming views for Overwatch on Twitch have tanked, reaching a peak of 125k viewers in November of 2024 that was nearly halved to 64k in only a month.

Marvel Rivals’ viewership peaked at 275k near launch and has since gained even more since then. Many Twitch streamers have seen this success and joined the Marvel Rivals servers to grow their channels.
Meanwhile, though Overwatch still maintains its dedicated fanbase, its developers have yet to realize what they’re doing wrong. The game has not been well-maintained and there have been no reports of an Overwatch 3. Woke agendas inserted into the characters’ designs and lore have not helped matters, either.

Will the Overwatch Overlords learn from their “Marvelous” Rivals? That remains to be seen. For now, it seems the gaming world has simply moved on to fresher, more attractive things.

I was a HUGE fan of Overwatch when it first came out and the second they said Symmetra was Autistic I knew it was going Woke.
Luckily all they did was SAY Characters were Gay or something else obviously made up for the Games life.
Now Overwatch 2 is where I REFUSE to play due to the Woke Stupidity, 5v5, no Loot Boxes, a Stupid Battle Pass, and them changing McCree’s for a Nothing Burger.
Marvel Rivals is a DEI title – it’s made by Chinese commies and Disney. Giving it money and attention is funding the exact people who push DEI.
DEI does not work with China. They want money and they know that big boobas will give them money. The fact that China is mess up is one thing, however, it is not DEI.
Equity is the basis of communism, which is what the Chinese are. They are the ones funding DEI in the West via proxies like Tencent to destroy Western culture and demoralise us. They want to earn money for their products, while destroying the competition with DEI – like I said above, they use it as a weapon.
Wrong, DEI and all the sorts come actually from the west from companies like Blackrock and Vanguard, which are the strongest form of capitalists. Those people demanding to change people’s behavior, but not in communist behaviors , since communists don’t want normal people to have capital or buy too much stuff. DEI allows you to buy stuff, but with hidden or nowadays fully into your face messages of how to behave as they want one to behave. That is also why people boycott companies working with Blackrock and friends.
DEI doesn’t want you to do anything. It’s a tool used by both Blackrock and Tencent to weaken the populace. If you want a concrete example Tencent 100% owns Riot Games and they have been pushing woke garbage for years.
DEI was never the core problem, it was the mediocrity that usually comes with it. If the product is what we, the customers, want, we will be happy to spend our money on it, even if it is from Disney.

DEI is just code word racist and bigot use. They cant say the N-word anymore so they use code words like ”woke” and ”DEI”
Stay delusional, sheep. DEI is actually an acronym which is used by many company like SBI or Blackrock to change the people by force. This is not a laughing matter. No on should tell a person how to live one’s life next to general community rules like no killing, no stealing ect.

The X-Men are literally an allegory for Civil Rights and the struggle of minorities. It doesn’t get more ”woke” that Marvel.
Not really, Stan Lee was just lazy and didn’t want to tell the same origin story like he did for Spiderman.

Too sad, that people nowadays don’t give a damn about Stan Lee or even call him the problem of old story telling. Authors nowadays can’t tell stories, because such are fully of propaganda and hate speech against the old ways. Modern authors can only do one thing; take an old character or compayand run in to rock bottom.

Gaming world has not moved at all, we still like the same stuff, its the Tourist developers that are dead set in pushing agenda, we got a few months perhaps the whole 2025 off western AAA gaming collapse before the U turn.
Seriously, the only reason why people jump on this game, is because of beautiful women and respectful depiction of the characters. Nothing else. But now that topics like censorship in chat came out, may change a bit. Who knows if this game will crash eventual.
That Beautifull desings and respectfull depiction have become rare is what caused this mess of industry
